It's close. Drachen Spire was put on ice in March of the year before its debut. COVID was a more exceptional circumstance than this merger and the shelving of Spire still resulted in a new Intamin in the pipeline for BGW—they just went a dramatically different direction.

I think KD 2025 is probably safe, but the confidence level isn't super high in that assessment.

Gotta stick a DC character in there somehow.

Some are easy, like Batman: Flight of Fear, Gotham City Escape (BLSC, just throw some DC Villans standees on the ride somewhere), and Flash 305. And Dominator can go back to it's original name.

BOOM! THEMING!

KD desperately needs a replacement for Volcano. Nothing about the merger changes that fact, and the people that will continue to be in charge on the Cedar Fair side have been monitoring this situation for a long time. I know the new company is entitled "Six Flags," but Zimmerman is CEO and corporate is in Charlotte/Sandusky; sounds to me like many of the Cedar Fair initiatives, as well as their overall company culture, will mostly prevail.

If there was a B&M launched wing coaster planned to be installed at KD in 2025, wouldn't the manufacturing of such a ride already be well under-way/completed? Typically, pieces of a new coaster begin arriving at a park the summer before the ride opens, which would be summer 2024. I would think a ride of this magnitude would be almost completely manufactured at this point.

It's possible the theme of the new coaster could incorporate some new IP, but I think Jungle X as a whole will continue to be developed as planned, potentially with some minor alterations.

Anyone looking into what's being stored up a the Claremont (sp?) Factory lot in Ohio? That should give some clues

Got some obvious Iron Menace track; and a good amount of un-primed and primed track there. I would assume this is mostly Iron Menace and Phoenix Rising, maybe some last-out of Penguin Trek. Therefore, I Highly doubt this ride would be in production at this point. I would guess June-August is when we start seeing the first pieces of the Wing at this factory, then delivery start a couple months after that. But certainly no track has been made yet.

Given the number of 24 projects that B&M is juggling right now I would have been shocked to see anything 25 related yet. I would think that we are probably looking at fairly similar track length and footprint to Iron Menace which only saw track recently arrive for a 24 opening it seems logical that KD's wouldn't need to be ready to ship for a good 9 or 10 months which is definitely plenty of time to do the work.

A new coaster for Kings Dominion will probably have an earlier construction timeline compared to Dorney Park, as the later does not open until May. If current trends continue, management will want a major new coaster at Kings Dominion open by the end of March.

So under the timeline we're figuring out by what's in production/stored in Ohio vs. opening dates, would it be fair to say we should start seeing this project's track/supports in production around August or September 2024 to make a March or April 2025 opening?

I would actually guess a little earlier. I would think June July with shipping starting around September

It took me this long to realize Iron Menace’s orange is a darker shade of Talon’s orange. The color scheme on the blueprints makes more sense to me now.

Six Flags should feel right at home. Cedar Fair Orange (TM) fits perfectly with Six Flags' dark and gloomy ride trailers!

Well I'm significantly more interested in this project now. What are we thinking, bigger or smaller than Thunderbird? Does Cedar Flags give us yet another burnt orange roller coaster? Personally I hope it's dark blue or green color. I believe it's been mentioned before that Hanover is a bit more challenging to get a hold of site plans?

Almost everyone is harder to get plans from than the epic bros over at JCC. We should probably be able to get KD 2025 plans from Hanover when they drop though. Turnaround time just probably won't be as blazing fast as JCC.
