If it ends up not dipping down, why does there need to be a triple footer/support arrangement at the end of the launch? Thunderbird doesn’t have one at the end of its (straight) launch.
I thought there were 3-4 footers that were in front of the arch that held the old Volcano sign (or just to the side)? I'm not thinking vertical track suports; but, for lateral supports.
Correct, it should look something like this:I thought there were 3-4 footers that were in front of the arch that held the old Volcano sign (or just to the side)? I'm not thinking vertical track supports; but, for lateral supports.
This part, unlikely. Each footer in the plans is numbered in order of the layout, so it's relatively easy to follow the general path. If one of the first element's supports reached into this area, I like to think we would have caught that.Maybe the coaster comes out a little further for the first element than the rendition.
Thanks for the clarification. I thought those footers were tied to the 1st element.Correct, it should look something like this:

(footers are placed precisely where the plans indicate, landscaping islands are ~approximately modeled to replicate what's built now)

Yeah you’re more than likely correct, just immediately where my mind went to. I do still think the trains will be multicolored thoughWhile that would be cool, I don't see more than 2 trains. It wouldn't really need it with a longer load/unload cycle and the launch.
I personally hope it's some combination of the 4 colors of circular glyph paintings on the work walls (orange, yellow, a light and a darker blue). Could definitely see one train being orange & light blue, the other yellow & darker blue, especially if it's bird-themed.Yeah you’re more than likely correct, just immediately where my mind went to. My understanding is there may have been a bit of an oops moment earlier today.
My understanding is an irrigation line was clipped which seems reasonable since there was far more water pooled in the area then what seem normal. What is the oops?
Likely a sprinkler head that was stepped on and damaged at the base. You're not going to find out about it until the next time that zone is run. You can see a sprinkler head right next to the curbing in @horsesboy's picture on the other side of that box. Should be a 15-30 minute fix for the grounds crew.My understanding is an irrigation line was clipped which seems reasonable since there was far more water pooled in the area then what seem normal.
couldn't the launch building be detached from the station building? Was not expecting that tan/gold color at all. I believe those are pieces of the catwalks.
That curved piece is interesting though, the only place that should is curved and could possibly need a catwalk is the turn into the launch (which should be in a building, not needing a catwalk..).
Could be. The initial plans have the whole turn and launch being enclosed, but that can probably change easier than the actual ride hardware:couldn't the launch building be detached from the station building?
The pair of footers there in the foreground are for the launch, the ones in the rear I believe are for the dive loop. Station will be further to the right.I took this today as well. This spot is where the station is going right?
