They started teasing Twisted Timbers on June 20, 2017 (I know because I just scrolled through 7 years of Facebook posts 😆). It was basically weekly teasing after that; the coaster's announcement took place on August 16, National Roller Coaster Day.View attachment 32729
Different leadership and a totally different marketing team. So no telling if we will see any teasers.

This color aesthetic is GREAT! I love that shade of green, and it makes for a very nice impression around the Earth tone paths and the adjacent rides. Kudos to management fo having some imagination outside of typical Cedar fair normalcy.
I'd be furyous if this possibly raptor themed leviathan was even close to a shade of another Cedar Fair coaster. That would be such a wild thing that I'd want to get my (hydra's) revenge.

Ok, that last one was the best I could do. Live with it.

Just giving an example of what the park has done in the past. I did not say they would follow the same timeline; however, I think they will tease the attraction, considering all the lore surrounding Jungle X and the teasers we've literally already seen. It's a no brainer (and that's coming from a marketing professional)!

I did a little research and there are only about 200 launch coasters in the whole world currently. Can we take a moment to consider that next year almost 3% of all the launch coasters in the whole world will be located in about a 60 miles stretch of Virginia. That seems insane.

I worked in marketing at KD - I don’t know how Bridgette operates the park but in the past it was totally up to us if we wanted to tease anything at all. I imagine they’ll do something - especially now that the track is sitting there on site.

It appears that CF has been centeralizing most of the park marketing and taking a bunch away from the local park control so it might not even be a park level call right now.

Let's be real: if they don't market this attraction well, it would be a HUGE missed opportunity at garnering interest/excitement from current/potential customers. KD has majorly struggled with marketing in the past. I remember how lame and short-lived their marketing campaign was for I-305 before and after that opened... at least they tried with TT. Considering all that is happening in the park next year (one of the biggest if not the biggest investments in the park's history, the 50th anniversary, and even the retheme of I-305), they really need to raise awareness of everything new. Make it known how much TLC KD has received. Get more turnstile turns.

All they need is a Wendy's bag campaign and VOILA! Chokepoints at the turnstiles.

Kidding aside, I agree! BGW needs to do the same with their Backlot Drachen Coaster no one will see unless advertised.

Now that we have track... here's the precreation layout updated with the real* colors!

*train colors TBD; these are 3 of the colors of the 'bird' temple icons painted on the construction walls, I felt they fit pretty well.

So, what do we think the actual theme of this ride will be? I'm aware of the bird teasers, but the teal and grey color scheme really gives off futuristic technology vibes (i.e. Incredible Hulk). Maybe there's a tie-in to the coaster's next-door neighbor, FOF? Any guesses on the story surrounding the bird? Probably just another animal/temple combo (hopefully, for consistency's sake), but still.

Maybe this band should write the ride's soundtrack: Futurebirds (haven't listened to them; I found them by Google searching "future bird." 😂 I can't vouch for their music)

I mean it could also just be some kind of tropical bird or a mythical green bird of some kind.

Im thinking it could be a supernatural/magical bird theme, since it will be the centerpiece attraction of Jungle X I imagine it would have to unravel some of the mystery about this place like where did the people who made these “temples” go to and why build them in the first place
