More or less the Timing, I dont see the point to leak something that is going to be Announced in less than a day all it did was kill the hype for a lot of people

who cares about ruining hype right now. GUYS WE ARE LITERALLY GETTING MONKEY COASTER FOCUS ON THAT
Well, if you ever want to have any type of working relationship with a park in the future, everything. If you truly loved/supported a park, I can't imagine doing this intentionally, regardless of how butt-hurt you are over not getting invited to a party you felt entitled to.
I get it...it sucks not to be invited...but it's bad form.

I mean, I knew what was going on and was kinda upset it got leaked the day before the announcement too. Would have loved to see all the reactions tomorrow morning. Now it just won’t be the same.
No disrespect at all - I just think the timing wasn’t right. Less than 24 hours before the announcement when hype continues to rise. As always, I appreciate the work the site puts out. Just wanting to express my honest disappointment as a member of the site for this particular leak. It could have waited IMO. Please don’t hate.

I'm excited to see how the area is revamped. Safari Village was the last corner of the park that needed a face-lift so I'm glad to see it happening
I'd rather pop everyone's bubble now because many people were grossly overhyping what they thought was actually going to happen.
Better to pop that bubble than let everyone turn that anger against the park like what happened with "There's Really More Coming."
Idk man I get that but still a slap in the face to some of us that spent many hours preparing things for tomorrow morning. Was going to be a good time. Would have hurt a lot less had it been leaked say 2 weeks ago if that makes sense. Proud of the work we’ve done. Feels like it mostly just went to waste.
If we’re leaking stuff tonight just know there’s some more minor announcements that weren’t posted in the article. I’d go into details but it just feels wrong given the timeline. Huge supporter of this forum. I’m on here more than I wish to say. Like I mentioned, I get it, but it doesn’t make it any less upsetting being within 24hrs of the big day. Anyways, I digress. Just want to go on record with this: We did not pick the timing. The park leaked when the park leaked and the source became safe when the source became safe. If I could have published this two weeks ago, you better believe I woulda been all over that.

This leak was not some kind of retaliation for not being invited to their party. We were able to post the information, because we were not in the media list. We did not post it BECAUSE we were not on the media list. It is an important distinction that people are somehow not understanding.
We did not “time” the leak in any way. We shared the information when we could.
This is our job. Our primary responsibility is to our readers, not to the parks. We have never and will never pander to these massive, publicly-traded chains, in order to be invited to their events. We provide the unvarnished truth (as much as we can), rather than official press releases and carefully curated “facts.” Whether the parks like us is not our problem. All that matters is that we are serving our actual customers.
Since it is clear that many have misunderstood our explanation for why we were able leak the coaster today, we have deleted that paragraph. It seems to have turned into a massive distraction, rather than serving as context,

Can anyone confirm that they will in-person announce this tomorrow, or is it just a video on Facebook live?

I want to go on record with this too: KDFans didn't publish everything we have. There will be new things to see tomorrow.
ill be at kd tomorrow but i am not running towards that announcement when the park opens, but i will be going to timbers! its going to be a SCORCHING day tomorrow so anyone going for the announcement, stay safe in the heat
Aside note before commenting on the ride itself:
I never had an issue with leaks. (1) If the company the leak is happening with would take action to close it down if they had a problem. (2) No one forces anyone to read it so…don’t if you don’t want to.
As for the ride itself. I’m liking it. I’m also liking this new CF direction of a modestly priced ride being the center point of a complete revitalization of an area. I think CF Is hitting a mark that BGW is missing, that area revamps bring income just as much as a new ride.
I’m more excited about what is going to come with the revamp over the ride itself given we’ve known about it for years already (at least it feels that way). I do wonder about the thought of a multi year plan of revamps vs a one time shot at it.
