There is just so much off with that Reddit post. Only a minor portion of it is even the least bit accurate. Cool concept though
I think the funniest part about it is that the rethemeing of the area would be an 8+ year project.
I rode that once after drinking a glass of water in Tiajuna. 1 out of 10. Do not recommend.
I know budgets are extremely tight right now, but it would be great to see a relatively inexpensive flat ride brought in with the 4D FreeSpin for Safari Village.
I've always thought a Zamperla Disk'O Coaster would be a great addition to KD's line up. KD could even take California's Great America's Tiki Twirl and wouldn't even have to change the name or theme! However, Cedar Fair isn't like Six Flags and rarely moves rides from one park to another anymore.
Even something as cheap and small as a Music Express would be great for the area until a true Volcano replacement(s) is built. It would be a nice nostalgia ride too, since one was in the park from 1975-1981 known as Adam’s Apple and Himalaya. The throwback 'Himalaya' name even goes with nearby Avalanche.
There just seems to be a lot of teasers in the park and social media just for a 4D FreeSpin. Although they could announce the 4D FreeSpin and officially tease that there will be other future major capital announcements over the next few seasons like other parks have done the past several years...

What if the theme for the replacement is that the volcano finally erupted, causing mass destruction, and the new ride is what’s left/rose from the ashes/whatever? That would be a nice bit of lore and not unprecedented for cedar fair either (hydra/Hercules, among others)
Funny that you mentioned that because that's was my Exact thought of what the theme would be for the volcano replacement, except in my case that coaster wouldn't be what's left of volcano but what's keeping the "monster" that caused volcano to "erupt" (think of something like nemesis)

KD is is going all out on these teasers. Like others have said, it appears this might be for more than the 4D Free Spin. Too early to say if other ride(s) is/are involved and/or an area theme refresh for Safari Village.
The FreeSpin is the only new ride hardware being teased here for 2022. That said, rumor has it the 2022 project is larger than just the FreeSpin. Make of that what you will.
