I wonder if the lighting package will be integrated with Tumbili's dispatches in some way. The dispatched-synced audio gives me some hope!
Not sure but I have sourcing that several of the creates that you see scattered around the area are temporary to hide light hookups that they haven't finished installing.

Tumbili grows on me more and more each visit it seems temple side in the back of the car going backwards off the lift I consistently get at least 3 flips and it’s always a blast in that seat. I just crack up the whole ride. Honestly glad I didn’t experience a free spin before KD built one so it wouldn’t have been a replicated experience at all on my first ride.

Got in a visit. Area is nice, I’ll give them that. Not going to say I’m not impressed as the concept is well thought out, and I get a sense of place, but it’s still just lacking that something for me.

well we all know why it feels like its lacking something, its called volcanos replacement. when that comes in as well as the rethemes for blsc, fof, and i305, its gonna feel way more complete
That’s not it. I can’t put my finger on it right now, but missing Volcano is not my issue.

Yeah I know the feeling I love the concept but something just felt off Friday and I couldn't really pin it down but I am chucking that up to it still very much being a work in progress.

Laying here I think I got what it is, it’s that it’s so overly themed when no other area is that it’s a bit jarring.

There’s definitely going to be a sense of “work in progress” for a little while, as they work on putting finishing touches on this portion of jungle X, and all the way through until they get the volcano replacement as well as the retheme of the other rides in this area.

KD has that issue as a whole, where the park has lots of nice components but they don’t necessarily go together or flow together in a cohesive experience. I think they could get there, but it would take investments in a lot of places to make that work.

The exception I would give to that is KD’s Halloween setup works as a whole between scare zones, decorations, and overall mood of the place.

I feel like as time goes on and they continue renovating and revamping areas of the park, it will begin to feel that way. From my perspective, I do feel like each of the areas of the park do feel rather "distinct," what's interesting is how a lot of them split off into "sub-areas" as well like the back of Candy Apple Grove to me has a very different feel to me from the half closer to the singing mushrooms.

Jungle X just has the weird issue of roughly one half of it is really nice and well themed and the back half is 3 completely unrelated to jungle rides and Anaconda. Also.....were the US and VA flags always right before FOF? I felt like I never noticed them before but maybe it's just because I'm hyper-aware of details in that area of the park this season.

Last weekend some of the area's new additions were noted - like the additional monkey statues around Tumbili, and the spider on the mountain above Arachnidia. But I thought it was worth noting some of the other recent enhancements to the area...

The landing strip now has a textured coating -- where with the park closed this coming week, after spring break, I'm very curious to see if/how they continue to enhance it.

The center of Flat Rock is now painted.

The tunnel from the Reptilian exit queue has cave paintings.

And the two fenced areas (around the Reptilian supports) has some very cool artwork.

The broken cohesiveness is almost all on Paramount. They trashed the park. Cedar Fair is still cleaning up the mess 15 years later.

Parts of KD are stunning. Especially the tree covered areas. Then around the corner is the garbage areas like the go karts, sky coaster, action theater, Backlot etc. where they whacked down the trees or removed water and Installed some low class attraction that has nothing to do with the area.

The water park in the hole lays on KECO though. That area looks horrible and it was once a beautiful lake.
