Back to the restraint issue for a moment there definitely appears to be a training element to this as I rode twice after being bumped this morning with no issues third ride same op that bumped me this morning was checking it and I could see it go green and STAY green on the screen she starts yanking on it and it briefly flashes red then goes green again she yanks again and sane result. She starts telling me she has to bump me. Now I have NEVER fought with a ride op before but I made a point of saying I just rode this twice with no issues and it's green on the screen what is the issue that you are saying it doesn't fit? As she was trying to say something a supervisor walked over and checked it and told her it was good to go. My hope is that this was a teachable moment to avoid problems for others.

Oh was al the way up in Row 3. I was thinking you might have been the fellow I was talking to during the stop but guess not.

I was on the evac train as well, overall pretty quick process.
Remember that they got some practice in this morning. When it happened on the first train of the day, they emptied the station and we walked over and rode front row of Apollo. From the lift hill we could see the evacuation under way, so it seems like they sped up the process.

Intamin must have known this was going to be a frequent occurrence - Why else would they have spent the money putting in the catwalk along that entire set of launches?

They did the same this afternoon.

I mean any launch is a potential stop if power fails so by definition you have to plan for evacs at them.

If they emptied the station so evac videos wouldn't show up on YouTube, they failed on that count. :)

And on what I said about the catwalk, I am surprised it stretches from the switch track all the way to the bottom of the top hat. Seems like it would have been cheaper to put it in by each set of launches. But perhaps they have a catwalk for each launch, which would be why my pin says Pantheon has 4 launches, when all of us know it has 7?

Not sure if this is going to be of any comfort, but we had gusty winds all the way on our drive back to Richmond a little while ago. Now thinking I may need to take BGW up on their offer of extra member ride time this Thursday.
