So I've been wondering if they slowed down the launch. Because I can't see how there is such a drastic difference between the test runs and how it runs now. I don't know why they would slow it down, but SeaWorld loves to make BGW enthusiasts mad, so I wouldn't put it past them....but anyway do you think they did or is there just a massive temperature difference between now and the test last year around the same time?
I have fairly consistently heard that when upper management rode it for the first time they decided it was to forceful and made the call to slow it down so it wouldn't get an I305 reputation. Don't know for sure that is correct but it fits with what I see and I have heard it from to many different circles to not believe there is at least a little to it.

They weren’t ever going to run it at that one speed it was testing at because it would have been borderline unsafe. It’s still running slower than it did in other tests bc of weather.

Ah. Just what I wanted to hear. To be fair it did look a little too insane, especially over the top hat.

It would help if people added when they rode to their posts. Despite the temperatures getting colder, Pantheon really started to speed up later in the day yesterday. My back row ride around 3:40 felt way worse than my front row ride at about 5:30. Riding again in the back after that proved to be even better than that front row ride.

It's possible that the coaster was simply growing on me, but I'm pretty confident that—even just watching it run off-ride—it was legitimately speeding up.

The ride running like it did initially is also break in mode now. So on cold mornings when the ride may not make it because it’s cold- break in mode gets activated. And that’s when it tries to kill you lmao. Break in mode is only done in maintenance mode as well. Several premier coasters have this- notably their outdoor spaghetti bowls. Crazy Cobra in China has a POV in break in mode. Do a side by side comparison of poltergeist and that, and you’ll see the difference.

Saw on an Instagram story yesterday morning before the park was open (video from the main entrance through the trees) of it going of the top hat... Likely on its first AM test run... It flys over it so they def have a full power button for initial runs it seems. I supposed ride programming has just gotten really good with estimating exactly how much power is needed for a given train based on the current conditions its dealing with. That being said I'd love if a ride op accidentally hit that full power cycle 😉.

Edit: almost exactly what above said, just dumber.

This. 100%. The outer bank was the most noticeable change as the day went on for me. When it felt like 39 it actually popped me, whereas around 4:15ish it just felt graceful and smooth, kinda like Orion.

The more miserable the weather (and the more it cycled), the better the off axis elements got.

That’s why I just wear my contacts when I go to amusement parks. I always bring my glasses just in case there’s a mishap with my contacts.
I’m not a contacts person, so I always just take my glasses off. The benefits of a out of focus ride are wayyyyyyy higher than literally not being able to function if I manage to lose my glasses.

Quick question- Are member previews one ride per visit or one ride for the duration of the entire previews event? (Ex. Could I get a ride pass today and go back tomorrow and get a ride pass?) I see sister parks Platinum explicitly states only one ride for the duration of the event, but wanted to be clear for the home park.

Loved the ride. Hard to pick a favorite part. Even with a 20 minute shutdown there was still no line for the middle rows. The park is currently saying no rerides and I have seen several people pointing out that they allowed them yesterday. The park's only response seems to be that was yesterday this is today not exactly the optics you want to be displaying to guests.

Supposed to be one ride per duration of previews, but anyone's guess after rerides last night.

For event in less of course you rode last night where apparently you could get up to 2 dozen.

I've tried to confirm this and can't. In fact I was explicitly told that there were no modifications done to the ride after people started riding it. I think it's just likely that the ride will need time to warm up and as it does it will hit higher speeds and go through elements with more pace.
