According to BGW’s website pantheon has a max height of 6’4”. That must be one damn good headchopper
Yeah, I was surprised the cutoff was that low. But given that headchopper I knew there was going to be a max height. Just didn’t know what lol

I don't think it's from the headchopper as much as it is from the restraints

This. No way that a even 6'6" person would have a safety issue with clearance on that support. Does anyone know details on the pull through testing intamin does for this model? Looks like they provide more than 10' of clearance in that test.

Typically clearance provided in ASTM code is minimum 6 feet around from where the riders would be positioned. It doesn't even account for their head or arms it's just straight 6 feet from the seats. The clearance bars that you see them doing checks with if I remember right are usually just to a set arm reach of like 3 feet or something like that so realistically on a physical pull through they don't experience anything that'd be concerning.

76 inches is also a fairly standard maximum height for Intamin rides. El Toro, Kingda Ka, Superman: The Ride @ SFNE, and quite a few of their other additions had manufacturer stated maximum heights in that area (anywhere from 76 to 78 inches) and it was more up to the parks to enforce it. BGW prolly chose to enforce it because they wanted to avoid any potential headaches with their insurance provider(s).

And ERT starting March 4 confirmed... Though I'd be pissed if I were a current member that didn't also get the same benefits

The preview calendar was released a few days ago. Current and new members get the same stuff.

I'm glad to hear that I won't be competing that much with some here to ride this coaster. It looks fantastic and I'm really excited for it. If I fit in an extra ride or two that's awesome! I haven't ridden Velocicoaster, but looking at the comparison video, this ride is very nearly as long and also quite a lot different, so I'm not sure why that would kill the excitement.

I’m going to Disney/Universal this weekend so I’ll let you know. …so…excited…for Velocicoaster.
Enjoy......VC is amazing. The very back seat really is more thrilling but the front the view is spectacular and calmer. Oh and those over the water rolls........

Anyhow, I think the Pantheon opening will be interesting from a number of aspects......I want a turbo ride!

Place your bets now on how many days it is until 1 day ticket holders get to go on before pass holders/SEAS said they would get to
I think we will have a pretty decent idea on how likely that is based on if we see it happen with the other SEA openings but right now I am leaning towards it's not likely.

BGW is totally within their rights to soft open Pantheon in my opinion. Soft openings have long happened before any and all types of other early ride time offerings—and it is reasonable for them to. Employees need to get a feel for operating with guests before the onslaught that results from publicly marketed opportunities to ride.

Do I think Pantheon will soft open? I'm 50/50 on that right now. Do I hope it does? Very much so—and I'm ready to defend BGW if it does.

The ticket to thrills event is being used at other parks as a soft open. Limited numbers of guests and only allowing a single ride allows for training with limited stress.

So, conversely, I would not be surprised to see no soft open.

I wouldnt be suprised to see someone standing infront on Pantheon saying that only members with the quick queues or thrills event tickets get to ride while holding the rope open for anyone to enter. I honestly would be shocked to not have a dozen rides in before the official opening or even any members event based on history.

Agreed. I am hoping to get multiple rides in on Ice Breaker 2/12 and Iron Gwazi 2/13.
