Honestly, my hype for the ride kind of fell off once I rode Velocicoaster. I'm still excited for Pantheon, but I'm not expecting it to blow my mind like I once thought.
Same after riding Velocicoaster I know it won’t match. Pantheon will still be a great ride but I feel like I should have ridden it first before veloci

It's funny that @Zachary seems to have indicated the opposite...

While Tron is in a different state, the hype about that ride is gone and I'm pretty anti Disney because of it (Fall trip is being planned for family). Tron has been a work in progress since I was at the park in November 2018 and it's rumored to not open this year :/

I'm still excited for Pantheon BECAUSAE I rode Velocicoaster.

It’s amazing how much slack the mouse house gets on these things when Uni regularly makes awesomely themed rides in less time.

Yep, there is a part of me that doesn't want to do this trip if the Tron project isn't done

I said this months ago as well but honestly I have no excitement for Pantheon....it honestly seems like a decade ago now that had the anouncement at the Abbey with the construction people and roman numerals. I have been there on opening day for every major new attraction since Alpengeist and many of those I had ridden before that for media previews or soft openings. I spent many days waiting for those soft openings with great excitement to be one of the first to ride......but not this time. With team members riding next month I would guess soft openings will be shortly after.....honestly the only thing that excites me for Pantheon is the possibility of getting stuck in a stall on the top hat. Like others have said after riding Velocicoaster dozens of times now Pantheon has alot to strive for, I however really dont hold the two to the same standard. VC is very well themed and the park has the budget to back an amazing coaster and they also draw in huge crowds daily year round to ride it. I few in to just ride VC before it opened and it was well worth the trip, now if I lived out of state im not sure I would put the same effort in to fly to Virginia just for the day and that one ride. I am however looking forward to Iron Gwazi and do have plans to ride that as soon as possible. As far as Ice Breaker, I may stop in if I have some time one day but its not a must do asap!

Good Luck BGW.....

The crazy thing about Disney is that they will announce rides years in advance. They will announce projects before they are even ready to start construction. It's crazy.

Tron isn't even that delayed. When it was announced it was originally supposed to open in Fall 2021, so an opening this year after Covid delayed construction isn't that bad. It's nowhere near the level of Pantheon which has largely been finished for 2 years.

My hype for Pantheon waned last summer when Parc Astérix released full details of Toutatis and its 23 airtime moments.

But I feel like there is a difference in saying something is coming down the road and construction continues, regardless of the fact if it was Disney dragging their feet, Covid or a little of both but having a fully finished ride that they just don’t want to open sitting there with no changes in a year just takes away the hype for me.

I know GOTG Cosmic Rewind is scheduled for Summer 2022, so I doubt Tron will open by Fall. I’m in the same boat, planning a family trip to FL after summer but willing to limit WDW to a few days to squeeze in BGT, SWO and Universal

I used up a lot of my new ride excitement back when I305 went up. Plus I have trouble imagining how will Pantheon flow and am just waiting to judge. Hope it does that big empty field justice.

No plans to ride Velocicoaster and something here does me far more good anyway. However I did rewatch the POV and am not seeing an epic outer banked turn.

Imagine having Darien Lake as your home park where your hyper is probably being ripped out at year’s end, and then seeing bgw fans whining that their Intamin multi launch might not be quite as good as one 5000 miles away.

Like seriously, most parks would kill to have pantheon and then a cool indoor coaster in consecutive years.
