I second this. If the restraints weren't so bad, that ride would be fine. There's a reason it's called Thighcrush... Pantheon should be much better given Intamin's improvements in that arena.
I’ve ridden both skyrush and I305 and I found I305 to be significantly because I could just enjoy the ride without having to brace for leg pain. Sky rush would be fantastic if you weren’t begging to get off the break run because your legs are going to fall off.

I305 is unquestionably better. I’ve never had pain on it. When I’ve been to Hershey with friends, one was literally screaming to be let off at the end it was so bad. It’s untolerable for adults

Skyrush the ride itself is my number 1, but man are those restraints awful. The whole experience I’d take I305 and TwT over it by a small margin.

Zero doubt Pantheon will become my new number one though.

I think the ride will be incredible, but I doubt it would beat I305. The intensity on that ride is just unmatched. I'm excited to see if I like it more than Twisted Timbers or Skyrush

The negatives will far outdo I305

I left a while ago and while I was there the site was basically stagnant after the train switch. Maybe they will run it today but who knows

Probably just a light day because Easter/weekend in general. Hope to see it roll tomorrow and 2 train ops this week.

Is late May a realistic timeline for opening ? I know it’s been discussed before but I think BGW could really capitalize. I don’t get why parks sit on a completed ride such as IG and Velocicoaster you could only make more money by opening it. But then again I don’t know the business side of it only from a consumer standpoint.

The reality is that “you could only make more money by opening it” is not a truism. It costs money to operate the ride, and market it, and the question is whether the ROI will manifest in an environment where park attendance is still restricted, and when travel is still muted by the pandemic.

Now, the swift rise in vaccinations—by Memorial Day, over half of Virginians will likely be at least partially vaccinated, with close to 50% fully vaccinated—may change this. But right now, the park is barely able to handle the existing Food and Wine crowds with the existing staffing, and that won’t fully resolve itself until the High Schools finish for the year in June. And so while I think the idea of opening the coaster in May is technically feasible, whether it’s logistically practical is less clear, and whether it will dramatically expand the park’s operating profit under the current circumstances feels very unlikely.

Very valid points. I will agree that staffing is probably the key issue here. Hopefully the governor gives us some good news later this month.
