I'm not sure about voltage, but watching a few vids about TTD and KK indicate parks tend to tone down their launches after opening to save on wear and tear so it wouldn't be too surprising.
Those are highly mechanical launches, much more than an LSM. I don’t think full power launches would induce *that* much more stress on the car or the track.

Just to be clear, they don't vary the voltage with AC motors, only the frequency of the sine wave. Standard US AC is at 60Hz, to they are probably running 75-80% of that. Voltage does go down at very slow speeds, however that will damage motors over time. The beauty of Variable Frequency Drives is that you can go up to 2x frequency, therefore 2x speed. That way, they can design the LSM for the desired operating speed, but overdrive the motor when nessisary. DC varies voltage for speed control, AC varies frequency. If these are run by servo drives, then it is pulse count frequency, but voltage stays the same.

So now that we’ve seen a full test, what is next on the check off list before we say it’s done? The station and any bridge related items?
