I thought it was only 1 and only the first half

You can't get the train back to the station without doing a full circuit, even if it was a test for the first or second launch. If it was the first launch rollback testing, they could winch the train back to the station, but otherwise it'd have to complete the circuit eventually.

I highly doubt they'd take the train apart to get it back at the station and last I checked it wasn't on the swing launch track.

It’s already ran some test runs
it did 1 not any more than that, and the one it attempted the backwards launch failed to engage so they had to disassembled the train and re biuld it in maintenance, intamin is installing a new computer as of right now so we will see how this week plays out

I'd check your source on that. Because it was never planned to have the backward launch engage from what I've heard. It was meant to just launch through. Also haven't heard a single rumour about the train being stuck anywhere. Honestly that's something that would have been noticed. They would have had to bring a crane in to do it and that would have been noticable.

If it's low to the ground, could they possibly use smaller equipment to pick up the cars? Or is it more the weight is the issue?

This thread is the ParkFans equivalent of r/politics. I expected better since many of you strike me as very thoughtful, intelligent people

I know budget cuts have hit hard, even pre-COVID, but I'm still wildly disappointed in the effort put outside the ride itself. I almost rather see BGW put in some smaller coasters that might be less innovative in order to have some good theme elements. Then again I say that, seeing that FF has absolute shit theme work done given how cheap the ride it. If I could make any recommendation to BGW it would be to spread some rides out in the coming years to spend some more money on design of the station, entry plaza, queue, and improving the hamlet area around the ride.

IMO step one would be to get Pantheon's station, entry plaza, and queue looking good.

We've been stuck in that dark period between ride erection and testing for literal ages now. This is when these threads are at their absolute worst. Very little content worth discussing, few obvious changes on the site, lots of armchair coaster engineers discussing things beyond their depth. It's inevitable, but normally doesn't last ANYWHERE NEAR this long...

Eventually we'll have testing footage to talk about and discussion in this thread should improve dramatically.

I just can’t believe this thread is 496 pages and growing. Is this the longest thread?
probably but to be fair it started almost 4 years ago with the now canceled Project Madrid. Since Pantheon was using the height waver for that the thread just had it's name changed so the first like 200 or so pages are related to speculation on that.

Yeah, because of that, it is most fair to compare this to the two Project 2012 threads combined. The first was 120 pages long and the second was 271. Pantheon has definitely taken the crown.

I am only just now realizing that this went on the wrong thread. My apologies

Lots of lights were on tonight—maintenance, station, and even controls (station op buttons were blinking). The only train on the track was in the maintenance bay.

We're at that point where whenever anyone drives by BGW, it's probably a good idea to see if you catch some testing over the treeline.

Funny you should say that cause I started taking the slightly scenic route home from work just to drive past the park last week for that very reason.
