Do you think they timed the announcement to coincide with the first arrival of track/supports?
I don't think so. I think the major factor was delaying it to the point that it won't hurt any attendance bump they might have gotten from Finnegan's. It's been no secret they are building something but I think they don't want to start marketing next year until they have opened the rides and given them some time thinking year.

Curious how long they’ve known the theme and coaster name - independent of changes that occurred with project direction w/ coaster configuration.

If the rumor about Kevin leaving is indeed true; this will be one of his last days...

So, who knows what he might be willing to do that he'd otherwise never dream of ...

Aside from my belief that the reddish maroon would kind of clash with purple (Apollo)...
the planned new (better) Parc Asterix & Walibi Intamins both appear to be red.
Just don't think this one will be reddish and it wouldn't be a good choice.
MMXX deserves it's own color impact; Red is still Big Bad Wolf's at BGW.

Imagine being that pretentious about color

That can be your opinion. Perhaps a more appropriate delivery could be something like:

"I don't mind that the red and purple are similar, or that the others are red. I think red could look really good."

A nicer toned reply can go a long way, when things have yet to have gotten hostile. Instead of just dropping:

(Yes this post was just a reason to use that GIF again)

Maybe to them it’s more than just a matter of “getting over it?”

I gave my all-time favorite car to my father in law when my first daughter was born. I loved that car — that mere engineered system. It was totally impractical for a family, so it had to go. He trashed it within a year and then sold it for peanuts to buy a compact GM product.

That was over a decade ago and I’m not over it. Never will be. Even though it was time for it to go.

I imagine many folks felt somewhat similarly about BBW going away on short notice.
