When riding mach tower this week you couldn't get a good look at what is happening due to the angle. All the trees near the Rhine are still there and the leaves blocked what was behind. You could tell that thinning has occurred but still no clear shot. I agree with Zachary that the best view would be from Apollo's chariot that I have found.

From Apollo it looked like the first launch area and first inversion area is cleared (I was thinking so because of a circle off to the side of the clearing). Tree Fatalities aren't even that bad, can't see anything from anywhere in San Marco.

So far so good. My concern is where it gets close to the Rhine. I hope they will be able to leave trees behind the tracks at the closest point essentially allowing only a thin strip of trees removed to either side. This will allow a tree line to buffer the rest of the field/ride area. If they don't, then you will have a wide swath of treeless area and dramatically changing the views crossing over from Octoberfest.

Definitely some activity today. Some noticeable clearing back behind the horse shed. And I know a lot of the orange barrier wasn't their last week. Was that put up earlier in the week?

Where did you get such a good view?
This is just on the train today. They have some equipment running around behind the horse shed down toward the river ravine. Did see the white work containers setup behind Marco's. The green container has been there for awhile, I think?
These shots were surely taken from the train..

Can see the big tree from the shot and the angle from the tracks matches up with the photo
Yep..

Yep..

Green ones are trash compactors. They've been there for years. The white trailer is new and arrived Friday at some point.

Red circle area is what is being cleared. Tree line from Marco's side is definitely thinned out now...

I see you snuck past a couple of gates to get two of those pictures. I really wouldn't advise doing that in the future. Getting caught can get you banned and charged with trespassing.

But Tlthose are some good views though. Clearing is definitely in areas that are not really viewable from guest areas. Great to see that the work is getting started so far out. We might be looking at them opening it before spring break next year.
