I noticed that there are still lights near Pantheon. Are these new or are these just leftover from the opening?
Can't tell for sure from this pic but guessing left over that will be removed after spring break

They aren’t doing to the multiple color lights anymore?

Also, on the harness tip- I rode Apollo’s a couple weeks ago. I had it comfortably locked in when the attendant smashed it down on my thighs another two or three clicks digging my phone in my pocket against my junk. Not comfy. I had her unlock it for me to reset my harness. 😳

That’s weird. The ops yesterday didn’t push it down further than two clicks

I have definitely had ops push down more to far to get that one extra cluck that wasn't necessary a time or two but if you are saying that they pushed it in multiple clicks that sounds to me like it wasn't correctly down. That is actually a concern I have with this new method of checking in that I worry they won't catch the people who dangerously manipulate the restraint (see the infamous Verbolten picture for examples of this).

No I mean that they didn’t staple me but they still pushed it down

Nope, I wasn’t unsafe with my measure of clicks. With a wallet on the right and a phone on the left, I didn’t crush them as I brought the harness down. With some breathing room and flesh being malleable, it took clicks to depress my phone into my crotch. I said, “ow”. She said sorry, or something like that, unlocked and we fixed it. But I assure you, my safety is of my utmost importance to myself. 👍

Thoughts on Pantheon having ridden it Saturday and been busy all day yesterday:

  • the second ride was actually much better than the first, probably because the first ride was in the middle of a giant run of Apollo-Tempesto-Verbolten-Pantheon-Alpengeist that had my stomach doing somersaults and I'm not sure my stomach is what it used to be. Overall, fantastic ride that might actually be my new #1. Never had a ride before literally have people applauding coming back into the station.
  • thinking about how one of the biggest complaints of the ride is the lack of theming, I honestly don't think it's that terrible when thinking about what area of the park that it's in and if I'm on the ride my thoughts are more likely to be "holy crap this is amazing"/"oh god please don't yack".
  • If anything, however, this is what I would change:
    • LOVE the chapter things in the queue, great theming actually. With that said, I would take away the boards(?) and instead make it be like a mural on the "pedestal" telling the story with some ancient looking writing or something.
    • We have the two signs: the sword thing outside the plaza and the official sign on the entrance archway. I would take that sign and put it next to the stairs, and put the sword thing next to the archway with the top but with the heads just on top of the pillars. Just goes together better.
    • I also think the trident in the Neptune pedestal next to the hill is super cool and even though there's absolutely no chance of this happening I think a giant 80 foot stone trident next to that part would be very cool. Actually, scratch 80 feet, however tall it would need to be that as you're pulling in you see the tips of this massive stone trident peeking above the strees.
    • a fog machine at the base of the hill, with speakers at the top playing thunder noises and some angry voice being like "WHO DARES TO CONFRONT ME". Sure, the machine would break after a bit, but at first it would be super cool to go up through the "clouds".
The ride is already amazing IMO, and I can't believe I'm saying this with how much of a sucker I am for some good theming, but I don't know how much you could actually do apart from the station itself.

Honestly the lack of theming in the queue was made up for by a really good soundtrack. Like I was really surprised by the epic music that was playing in line considering they didn’t theme much elsewhere.

Is this new? I haven’t been in a few weeks, but I didn’t hear it during previews.

I’m honestly very confused why people called this ride graceful. It didn’t feel that graceful, especially in my night back row ride.

Ride ops were kicking butt today and rolling...yes ROLLING trains! Watch out Universal...BGW operations are coming for ya
That is good cause opps at Apollo were horrible when I rode it. I don't think I ever seen ops consistently missing load clock by over a minute before.

Kingsmill complained about the lights so they had to be turned off. Also the. lights weren't permanent either as they were just portable stage lights.
