That is going to be quite the intense transition. Plus I love the fact that once the trees grow full leaves next summer, it will make that ride section feel "hidden".
 
@BGWnut has the right of it. The tree is a traditional way to top off the highest point on an large scale engineering project. The lights are just for Xmas I expect. (unless it is an aircraft warning light that just appears white in the photo)
 
I was referring to the teal-ish color, already knew about the tree. Good point @FoozMuz about being the star to the tree.
What teal-ish color? The lights are definitely white lights.

I'm not saying it doesn't kind of look like the star on a tree just that I don't think that was the intention.

Team Members usually only know what they care to find out. The park usually only provides the press release for announcements when they make them, but that relies on TM's taking them off the wall and reading them. Otherwise, everything is usually hearsay, unless they hear about it through sources outside the park, ie this site.
