Yes his last day will be the 31st. The park hasn't officially announced for some reason but I'm told it's not a secret there.

BGW has 9 months (a lifetime for marketing) to build the hype for MMXX. FansMedia will be covering announcement, and do a great job. All will be fine.

The Presidents travel schedule is not always available that far in advance for the park to plan to avoid that. Because there always is a chance that the WH wasn’t fore coming with the info or BGW wasn’t thinking he would attend.
Very true, my comment was focused on the anniversary event in state/region that's been living 400th anniversary celebrations for over a decade, in relation to the planning of a park that resides in that historic triangle as well. The potus reference is really just a footnote that you must be living under a rock, no matter where you are, during the last week if you weren't aware he was speaking...
The conflict is with the anniversary event, not with potus's schedule, and would still be a conflict if he weren't there.
So one more joke about the announcement. Is it true that Carl has sworn not to attend unless they uninvite Zachary?
My prediction: The ride will be called Pantheon and have white track - with grey supports. I want red but I know how unlikely thay is.

Official rules for the announcement contest say they will be tagging winners in comments, but I have yet to see that be the case. Did they opt for messaging winners? Just want to make sure I didn’t miss something. Thanks!

I thought they said they would be sending a PM to the winners and then posting them in an announcement at some point this weekend.
Not disagreeing with you, they may have said this elsewhere that I missed. Just basing my thoughts off of this from the url they attached to the original post.

Rode Ol blue for the first time this year. Even though it may not be necessary, sharing the obligatory train update from yesterday the 27th. Went ahead and threw a extra couple pictures in there they're no different from the others you've seen. LOL
On a side note, the announcement Tuesday. Can any member come? I may have missed this conversation earlier in the thread. I may be able to go Tuesday morning and just confirming before I do so.

The GP never cease to amaze me. If you listen to the Train video I posted. You'll hear a couple guys behind me discussing the new roller coaster. And that the steel pipe was for the track. You'll hear one of the guys say, "they should really cover that up". LOL
Also rode with a single Rider on verbolten who wasn't particularly thrilled with Heights. Said he heard the new coaster was going to be a wooden coaster, and that he was okay with that because he likes Invadr. LOL

I'm still not a fan of the passive agressive disrespect of the "general public". Sure people are bound to say dumb things, but is it not labelling and rude to just limp everyone who isn't a coaster enthusiast together and insinuate they are stupid?
