The 315 foot height waiver was likely not a red herring. The park would not have gone to the trouble to request that much if they only planned to go to 180.

Just like the 355 foot waiver is not a red herring.
To clarify - The theming decision can be independent of coaster attributes: ‘immortality’ will be no more obtained at 315’ than 180’ (indigestion, another story).

Lol @BGWnut sometimes you give SEAS more credit than might be due. You believe the Madrid project name was a red herring. It might have been...or not. Absolutely nothing regarding that cancelled project has been confirmed...only speculation. Was it just a coaster? A hamlet and a coaster?

And no @madmax we don't know if MadridBot was right.
That is true. What I meant was that if there was anything deliberate about the decision of the codename it was for the purpose of throwing people off and building hype. There is nothing to show that it was a deliberate decision and not simply the next name down the list of potential codenames.

I am eager to see how the ‘Garden of the Gods’ will be themed/rendered, and if the location will lend itself to pedestrian access. I’m speculating the garden comes toward the end of the ride.

Edit: the only image I’ve been able to locate.

There's no guarantee that it will be rendered.

It will be the area surrounding the main forward-back-forward launch (I've guessed), complete with on-ride photo for achieving "immortality" (guessing, again).
If not... It should be!

Man, you guys are gonna be disappointed when there is literally no theming at all.
Also going to be really disappointed when there's no on ride photo. I don't think the coaster track area will be themed but I think there will be some light theming in the queue house and in the area outside the coaster. It might not be very much theming but I think there will be at least a little bit

Making fun of the humiliation of another person and the injury or death of goose seems cruel to me, to be honest.

Regardless, has anyone had a chance to check out the site recently, despite the rain?

I must have 'implored Minerva, the goddess of wisdom & war... to guide me' on this one.

?

The flags they’re showing in the video clips likely a design element, though those could hang from a walkway light post.

MMXX is going to be a very nice add to the park. My only disappointment is the single-point of access from Fiesta - a topic that has been discussed. I really would have liked the ‘L’ intersection at the foot of the Germany/ Italy bridge turned into a ‘T’ intersection, with a walkway up to the MMXX station.

To be fair... The spot they put Finnegan's was also a steep dropoff...

@JohnD The topography at the point you're discussing has a very steep drop off, edging close to the protected waters of the "Rhine". Even so, it would be a long walk with no exposure to $$ making venues along the way...

Agree on costs, but there’s no shortage of construction methods to achieve, e.g. cantilever or under-tresses for a portion of walkway. For visitors who are optimizing their time, these short-cuts make a big difference.
