I'm glad we're not getting a giga that crosses the water, that would've ruined the Rhine river view
Yeah, seeing a big roller coaster interacting with the Rhine would have wrecked everything the park is known for.
"At the meeting’s public hearing on the project, several Kingsmill residents voiced concern about the new ride’s potential noise and sight impacts on parts of their neighborhood. The “spire” will be constructed with open lattice and will be built near Verbolter’s broken bridge."
This from the paper and words from BGW spokeslady Suzy Cheesy. The new 2021 is a spire of lattice. Not a giga.

Some of the above must be sarcasm, but in my mind's (awesome) design, I would cross the Rhine in a new way. Loch Ness plunges down into it. It'd be neat to have a coaster "jump" over it. With a hill; arc. This would enable boats to still pass beneath, not impede the view as much, offer something different that none of the other coasters do with the river... and could be done without a single support needing to be planted in the water. Call me for more great ideas, BGW.I mean having it cross the Rhine would look really weird. That’s different than just having a drop skim it.
Yes.Some of the above must be sarcasm
Yeah, wouldn't want that... Nothing should cross the Rhine... Particularly Roman Legions.I mean having it cross the Rhine would look really weird. That’s different than just having a drop skim it.

Logging is big business. I expect someone is making a buck on the usable cleared trees, somehow.
You sure do meet some interesting people online!@Zimmy it's off topic so I won't go into details here, but if you ever want some curly maple, let me know and I can pick some up for you. A local place stocks the best curly maple I've ever seen anywhere for a phenomenal price. If you want pics/info either direct message me, or start a thread in the general discussions area and I'll share.
