I don't fault ride suppliers for it.

I want to start with this partially here, because in a way it is IMO and in a way it isn't. The place that IMO it is, is the major elevated break run seems to be a design feature as all 3 B&M Giga's have it. And where I don't blame them is clearly it's what is being asked for by the purchaser via cost/track length. I do wonder what it would look like to carry out a giga to the full possible length as the 2 Intamins also hit the break runs with a high amount of speed.

The long straight section of track prior to Fury's lift is a block as well. It's a holding block in the event that a train B is dispatched before train A clears the lift. Once train A clears the lift, the train on the holding block (B) then starts to go up the lift, while the 3rd train (C) loads in the station. That's how it runs 3 trains effectively.

This got canned after Fury's opening season as the lift paces itself to properly space the trains now.

Not entirely. The system is smart enough to space the trains efficiently. The lift hill will travel at a slower speed until the train on the course clears the first brake run block. It will then speed up. If the crew dispatches a train quickly, it will sit on the "staging" area for a set amount of time. Even if the train in front of it has already cleared the lift, it may sit there for a few seconds. It's a really interesting system.

Invadr spaces the same way on it's lift. It goes annoyingly slow until the other train gets off the brakes to avoid stacking on the lift.

Except InvadR's system won't allow a train to dispatch until the other train hits the brakes. But this doesn't have a whole lot to do with Orion does it?
I wouldn't know for sure, since I left the park before it was built, but it would seem logical (however, not ideal for operations) to be able to send the train as soon as the previous train clears the lift.

Looks good. However, black would have looked better instead of orange. But I understand why they went with orange because of similarities to Diamondback.

King's just announced that Orion will open on opening day.

Pretty impressive.
