They're not done yet, themeing is literally the last step on flats, so don't get too bummed yet
I consider the air tanks not sitting upright next to the supports...and instead being hidden...pretty good initial theming...or design...your choice.
If I remember correctly from the plans, the compressor tanks are going to be further back in the woods behind the Abbey Stone Theater. I'm guessing that the tank underneath the ride is going to be related to special effects.
The compressor itself will be back there. Didn’t show anything about the tanks, which for most Screaming Swings are right next to the arch.
^. That's my continued assumption. Placing the tanks under the platform leveraging the open space created by the slope is a smart idea and avoids a couple ugly tanks sitting next to the ride. Even if they don't theme it very creatively, I'm still happy if they try to hide some of that back stage stuff that amusement parks typically put wherever it's most convenient, aesthetics be damned.
Historic note on the Irish car bomb storage joke--that stereotypical drink is, as you'd expect, American, and rather contentious in the british isles. (The inventor says it was actually intended to celebrate Irish families in America...what?) So maybe they should serve it in Killarney, at O'Taters with some green beer. :|

will they be planting foliage close to this ride? in the promotional images, the ride seems to be surrounded by lush, large trees. i was worried that because this ride requires such a large radius of space to allow for the swinging pendulums that it would be grossly bare.
My sources tell me they're just going to hand riders handfuls of seeds and then let them fly as they ride.
As well as foliage, which I trust they will add after contruction, it would be great if the Rhine River extended to the platform or somewhere in the vicinity. If I remember correctly (been a while since I visited unfortunately) the Rhine River seemed to be creeping closer and closer to LNM and away from Finn's area, following Griffons construction in particular I noticed a receding of the river's edge.
A couple of things that stand out to me as the platform takes form... It looks like loading on the LNM side will be a bit tight and they will have to put up a rail which should offer some of the best "foot-chopper" effects around. On the flip side (killarney facing), looking down to the ground past the platform on the forward descent should be simply incredible. All in all, looks to be a great addition.

Almost certainly not. It was just renovated and renamed last year. Will it sell Flyer merch? Probably. Will it be a shop dedicated solely to the attraction? No.
Oh my God we are advertising a coming son ride what a radical idea.

Actually I think it's forgivable in this setting. This video can be used to market the ride to people who might not be familiar with the park. In which case the description of Irish and Scottish villages might be more telling then Heather Downs and Killarney.
