It was so much fun to be a part of the "Invasion" of the ceremony! Hopefully everyone enjoyed it as much as we all loved doing it! I knew InvadR was going to be good, but I was not expecting it to be that good! Very well done, and a perfect addition to the park! I can only imagine what will follow in the future!Luke said:

I've actually been trying to decide if I can reasonably answer this question. I haven't ridden White Lightening in a little over a year, so it is hard to compare the two accurately.
My impression is that in the front InvadR has better airtime. I could be misremembering, however.
The straight drop on InvadR, when you ride it on the back, definitely outdoes any element on White Lightening, at least for me.
Got on it yesterday and WOW! Exceeded expectations. Got my fun tracker too. Looks like one of the best years yet. So excited!
Rode it yesterday immediately after the opening ceremony, about a 2 hour wait with the temporary delays left and right, but it was totally worth it and an insane coaster that fits in perfectly with BGW's lineup!
Per the Fun Tracker, InvadR will have late ride nights:

The music playing when the train comes into the station is "A Champion Rises" by Kerry Muzzey. I hope to find out the rest. I'm guessing the rest is not original too.
Friday, at the media event, the park lost BGWFans' reverse POV video. We found it this morning on the Daily Press site.
Honestly, the event was such chaos, I can't say I am very surprised. They told us several times they were looking for it, but the video never materialized.
The really frustrating part is that we pitched the idea of getting video of the empty train, because we thought that would be a great angle and a unique approach. It is slightly galling to see someone else benefit from an idea that was designed specifically with our readers (enthusiasts) in mind.

Well that is just shady. They lost 'your' video and once found, they posted it publicly instead of resleasing it to you? Am I understanding this correctly?

They couldn't find our video because it seems they had already accidentally given it to the Daily Press... who apparently published it without question despite it obviously not being theirs.
I'm baffled by how this mix-up could have happened to begin with though. Our video was radically different than all the others we know of that were filmed on media day. We set up an empty train with us in the back because we thought it was a fascinating perspective on the ride's surroundings and movement. How that video was confused with the sea of "________'s face fills the frame as they ride InvadR" videos, I'll never know.

Have you heard from anyone at the park about this fuck up?
We sent them an email this morning highlighting the problem. Hopefully we'll hear back this week.
Oh noes that's not good. On the bright side I was able to figure out the music from that video.
It's a pretty cool video that no one would have thought of. Baffling about how this happened when they invited BGWFans presumably to connect to the die hard fans.
