These are just sound barriers unfortunately. GCI had to do the same thing with Gold Striker at California's Great America:

I personally think that they detract from the ride's aesthetic and block the great view you would normally have when you crest a lift hill.

I think its just fine, sound barriers and all. InvadR in this simulation looks to be just what was intended - a family thrill that will be enjoyed by many. I've ridden many worse "family wood coasters" with zero theming and unnecessary roughness, and I think neither of those will characterize this one. Sound barriers may not be the coolest to enthusiasts, but BG knows kids love "tunnels" of any kind. If you want scarier tunnels, we always have Alpie, Apollo and the darkness of Verbolten :D

I'll be there opening day.

I hate that top of the first drop covered. It's gonna ruin the view from the top of that first hill as there will no longer be one. The coaster is well below the treeline and should provide enough of a sound barrier. They might as well just tunnel the entire thing if they're worried about sound.

The crest view is really a big problem and I hope they find a solution. However, I am even more sold on this ride if they can make the trees look as dense as they are in the animation.

The sound tunnel reminds of Le Scoot's partial tunnel on the last drop (minus themeing). The barrier reminds me of a chute, and again folks, no matter what we say, good or bad - it's there to stay.

Ready to see how the rest of the station and queue line decor pans out, that will be key to the experience as a whole. I am so excited to see this come along as nicely as it is!

It will be interesting to see if the tunnel will look like what they have in the rendering POV, or if it may be a more themed enclosed structure like verbolten's bridge before the second drop but with walls.

So far we know that the POV tunnel at the bottom of the first hill doesnt exactly resemble what the actual tunnel looks like. So this could be the same case with the new structure aswell.

That rendering was made in a coaster modeling program called No Limits 2. (great game BTW, it's on Steam) Those are just the preset sound-barriers and tunnels. They automatically render in that type of tunnel when constructing the ride to go underground, but the sound barrier was added manually, so we know that it's located there on purpose. However, these are just the default 'accessories' if you will, so they are most likely not an accurate representation of the real life iterations.

(Here's more screenshots with another coaster made in the game with a tunnel: https://www.google.com/search?q=no+limits+coaster+2+tunnel&espv=2&biw=1920&bih=974&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjnz_2UpvDRAhUKj1QKHemDCCAQ_AUIBygC#imgrc=eivXdsvD0Vi2xM:)

Yeah Ive played around on no limits before. But my point was, I wonder if the tunnel will look like something from goldstriker (closer to the rendering) or something completely different.
