Since this is a hill, it may just be restraining purposes. However it may also be 2 walls forming a V and the excavation is just finishing out a box that will house mechanicals. This is all wild speculation. I think jumping to the conclusion that this is some part of a new tunnel is a bit... premature.

It looks like those are not rail road ties but debris from excavation.

Some shots of the InvadR construction from yesterday.

Judging off what I saw today progress wise, this ride isn't opening come the beginning of the season. Considering that opening day 2017 is only 3 1/2 months away and only roughly half the ride is built tells me that won't happen. They would have to finish all major construction by mid February for that to happen so that would mean only 6 more weeks. I'm guessing mid April to May like every ride they have ever opened.

When I was at the park, we were thinking the same. And as for the photos I'm having problems with my computer but there similar to what everyone else has been posting so I'm not going to deal with the trouble.

GCI works pretty fast and efficiently so they definitely could have this finished by opening day, especially now that the park is completely closed for the winter with Christmastown operations shut down. Just hope and pray that it won't be a harsh winter for the area.

Perhaps they planned ahead for a potential inclement weather set back, hence the early start on construction. Now even if they did plan ahead there is probably a relatively small window of days they can go without vertical construction. Given the unseasonably warm winter thus far I'm sure the climate has been paramount in the amount of construction that's been occurring.

Keep in mind, too, that the marketing campaign run on this coaster began unusually early given the parks track record. (I'd exclude Pesto's train wreck of a "campaign" for all intensive purposes.) So hyping up an attraction of this magnitude would be a bit irresponsible on the parks part if they aren't aiming for an opening day debut.

However, since a date hasn't been set in stone it shows that management acknowledges that anything can happen to push back any time frame they may be aiming for. Typically we get an announcement aligned with a major weekend like Memorial Day.

I could go on and speculate for hours, but I'll spare ya'll the time. Me personally, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an opening day unveiling.

So, this isn't much, but my step dad works as a building inspector for James City County and got to inspect one of Invadr's buildings. Not sure if it was the loading/unloading station or a building over the queue line as I didn't get many details from him. He mentioned it in passing over dinner on New Year's Eve then the subject was changed by someone else before I could get more details from him. According to him though, he said it was really cool and my step dad is just about the biggest cynic I know so I that gives me high hopes!

Question for the Admin's and Mod's,

With Busch Gardens new found affinity for information sharing can the members of BGWFans and Park Fans Network expect any off season updates on Invadr or the park in general?

Just curious as I don't check the Forums and Website as much in the off season.

Thanks for all your hard work this past season!!!
