Looks like these four were contacted by BGW as part of #DecideTheRide and
#FaceofInvadR

Figured the bearded guys had the best shot upon viewing a lot of the entries on BG's site last week. Appears to be a batch of good choices from the park's end.

Here's some progress shots on InvadR! Luke and I took these on Friday afternoon. They filed a permit a little while ago to continue working on pouring more footers for the ride, looks like everything is going up rather quickly!

Took a few photos Sunday while at the park.  Sucks they blocked the le scoot entrance, but was bound to happen. I didn't see it posted on any other photos anywhere, but it looks as if they completed or are close to completing the entire turn up to the base of the lift hill. Drew over a few photos on phone so bear with me. They also seemed to have been putting what looks like some sort of tension wire/ electrical wire between each post on the first turn out of the station. I may be at the park again next Sunday for the last time until Christmas time. Curios to see if they start the lift or the turn after the first drop this week...

New update on the Invadr page: "10/25/2016 InvadR Cars Test"

https://seaworldparks.com/buschgardens-williamsburg/pages/project2017?m=1

It also seems like the theming should be good:
Some of you may ask, "What about the theming on the trains?" I think our fans will be very excited to see what we have in store with this; Suzy from the engineering department will have more to share on that at a later date!

Several things here:
-The wire on the coaster is just standard "fencing". As per building codes catwalks have a maximum open space. The wires make the openings small enough to pass code.

-The building so far has no track. you can see where the track will go at a later date, but so far we are looking basically at supports.

-It looks like the park is really going all out with the trains. No nose piece in the pictures, I say a well themed one is almost given.

-Lastly, it looks like the padding on the trains is different than what I've seen in the past. The millennium flyers I have seen before (and gwazi's for that matter) had a more "pillowed" shape. These seem to be more firm and shaped. I don't think any of that should be a problem based on the size of this ride, but it is nice to see the trains being given such great refurbishment.

I'm hoping they have a front car ready for display at IAAPA next month. It would be nice to get a preview of it.

We do... and a few things that are even better than that.

From an exclusive look at InvadR BGWFans was given this morning:

That is the current state of the lead car of the Viking train. More pictures of the lead cars for both the trains (Viking and Villager) plus some special shots of the site will be showing up throughout the day on our social media. Everything worth seeing will be collected for a main site post on BGWFans (hopefully this evening) as well!

When we went to see the InvadR cars and site today at BGW, they told us that the theming should be arriving at the park today and the finished lead cars will be unveiled at IAAPA.

These are some of the most beautiful coaster trains I have seen in ages. These aren't simply manufactured, they are "crafted" with tons of care. I think things like this will make InvadR a bit more special than most woodies we are used to. I'm stoked!

They told us specifically that we were seeing the final colors. It was all driven by the Decide the Ride votes.

From the looks of it you'd never know these were used trains, they look as if they just rolled off the GCI assembly line.

I do find it curious that the ride is getting only two 7 car trains. That will only seat 14 people, I'm sure there are still enough cars for a full third train, but I guess the length of the ride might making blocking three trains difficult. It would be interesting to get Engineerings prospective on why they chose that number of cars and trains.

Anyway, as always, fantastic post and photos.

The total amount of cars leftover from Gwazi (48) is one short of supplying InvadR with 7 full trains.

I'm curios to see what the company will do with all the remaining ones.

They only had two flyer trains iirc.
