I'm pretty sure that those 7 feet are the difference between ground level and the trench on the first drop. Seeing such an open area is surreal in that area. The good thing is that the coaster will act to fill in a lot of the felled trees.

So it looks like blue ribbons might mean "keep them"?

Possibly, but I wouldn't jump to that conclusion yet as they just may not have gotten to those at this time.

GCI is notorious for serious tree clearing when they build new coasters.

Look at all the trees they wiped out for Thunderhead at Dollywood.

No, the blue ribbons mean they will be removed. Pink ribbons mean they are staying. They just haven't gotten to demolition toward the New France side of the site yet.

Also, I'm not sure how much GCI has to do with the clearing, the park implies that it's a full cooperation between engineers and the landscaping department.

I presume the foundation of the ride is not gonna take up as much space because of the steel supports as opposed to all wood framing,

Thanks for posting a picture of Thunderhead so that I can fully appreciate how dull our GCI's layout is in comparison.

Thunderhead also has a much bigger footprint and is over 1,100 feet longer than InvadR. If only BGW had that space and size to work with.....

I wonder if BGW has a drone policy, if not, we could get some awesome coverage of InvadR construction this off season!
I looked up the drone policy on google but saw nothing come up. Perhaps there isn't one.

I wouldnt, i dont even have a drone, but maybe someone could make a video of flying around the site, maybe from the other side of the property line.

I'm with Fur Dozy. Don't do it. You may not be on BGW's property but you'd still be on someone else's. Knowing how open they are being about this project, we will see plenty of different angles of the construction.

We already know what the damn thing is plus there are multiple ways to see the construction still. The only place where there is a wall is the place where guests could easily walk into the construction site.
