RE: Project 2017

If it's not a roller coaster, I can also see why the park would feel more rushed to leak information earlier. They wouldn't want to disappoint people after such long speculation.

That said, that Le Mans teaser feels a bit cruel if it's just a red herring.

Whatever it is, I am finding this campaign to be tremendously entertaining.

RE: Project 2017

While I don't personally believe that Project 2017 will be a Le Mans antique car replacement or have anything to do with Le Scoot, I do really appreciate the effort BGW is putting into this marketing campaign. In my opinion this most recent "leak" is probably intended to keep the current momentum going. I don't see how Le Mans theming would make any sense in New France, but I also know some forum members were probably excited to see one of the cars in use.

I'm looking forward to seeing what BGW's marketing department does next because so far this game has been a lot of fun.

RE: Project 2017

I'm inclined to agree with Nicole. I have a feeling that the park is going to throw lots of stuff like this at us to confuse people and keep them guessing. Let's all keep in mind that the only real info we got is from the plans.

RE: Project 2017

I see a connection. They both have "Le" in from of it. So they're saying is gonna be something French!

RE: Project 2017

worth noting that the le mans car they had was the electric version used for the france parade back during the ilumminights premiere.

I also think the le mans car is a red herring. Or all of this is red herring. Except of course for the site plans.

I actually like that idea David! Its a solid ride tbh. Understanding that its only 35' and is that great only imagine what 55' would do. MACK HAS SHINED US LIGHT(I guess it wouldn't be the first Mack ride wed like to see but, its better than a spinner

I might be dyslexic or something but when I see your name I somehow see "GNOMESEVERYWHERE".

So are we all fairly certain that this new project is indeed a coaster? Not some other type of ride or attraction?
If you find a flat ride that costs 17.5 million dollars let me know

RE: Project 2017

RMC just released video and stats of their new Raptor Track concept and it's a very small and compact coaster.  Could this be BGW's new coaster?  What do ya think?

RE: Project 2017

100 foot drop into an underground tunnel could very well meet the 60 foot above ground range. Interesting to say the least. Is BGW brave enough to be the 'Guinea pig' of a new coaster design?

Edit....capacity is an interesting issue here too for a major installation.

RE: Project 2017

That is brilliant and beautiful, I would not rule this out either. Something like this excites me far more than a Mack spinning Coaster unless it is the one with inversion potential. Very interesting layout!

not according to the plans.

elevation at highest point of the site: 90 feet
max elevation of track: 150 feet

elevation at bottom of tunnel: 59 feet

max drop: 91 feet

Raptor track is far too low capacity for Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Plus, loading times will be exorbitant because of the train and restraint setup.
I agree with you, but it can't be as bad as that floppy crap over your shoulders on Tempesto.
