RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

I'm not an expert, but that might interfere with launching back and forth.

No, it's a shuttle coaster, not a continuous circuit. If they did do something like that, the train would launch out, come back backwards, and hit the train behind it.

The ride will have two trains and it will be called Newton's Cradle!

Isn't it kind of sad that not only are we stooping down to Six Flags level, but even a Mexican park's level. Not only that but they're building it better than us.

Sorry for the dumb question. I hadn't realized that it would make more than one cycle in a run.

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

Dear forum members:

We know nothing.

No name.
No specs.
...Nothing but blueprints of ride placement. No topographical or cross-sectioned prints whatsover. Until that is presented, you guys are complaining about details that have yet to be unveiled.

Don't cry over spilled milk before the cow has finished producing it. ;)

At this point I don't even need to see a name to know this ride is a horrible addition for BGW.

As I've stated before the blueprints show the queue, exit, and what shape the station building will take. This ride will have only 1 train, and the worst capacity of any roller coaster east of the Mississippi.

As far as I'm concerned the milk is already spoiled.

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

@ b.mac - I didn't say the addition was or was not horrible, I was simply implying that no matter our feelings about the quality of the ride, we are going off some very basic information. I know many of you have already written this thing off as a disaster and that's fine, but I urge us to be members that make holistically-rounded conclusions about a coming attraction, and not so hasty to be completely negative.

I would not look very forward to contributing much more to this section of the forum if it's going to be 30+ more pages of complaints until opening day.

Could the station be two floored? On the top floor you have one loading/unloading area and then on a bottom floor underneath you have another loading/unloading area. If you can't go back to back, or side to side, maybe you can go top to bottom?

If this is the case, we might not be able to see that from viewing these basic plans.

Where's the love...it seems that when anyone posts that perhaps we should wait and see when all the plans are revealed and the park makes an official announcement that we kind of get "shot down"... Maybe I am just an optimist instead of a pessimist, but I would like to know all the details and see the details before I make a final decision. But that's just me.

I don't mind optimism I just find it annoying that the optimists repeat a vicious cycle of "hope" for the park when the writing is already on the wall.

"I want to see everything before I lose hope about it." becomes,
"I want to experience it before I lose hope about it." becomes,
"I want to see the next project before I lose hope about it." repeats back to the first one.

It happened with Mach Tower, it happened with Verbolten, and it's happening again with whatever this disaster is going to be. I don't know why everyone is holding out for a dual station on this thing, it's still going to have less than half the capacity of Volcano. It's a temporary fix instead of a long standing addition

You mean a station that does something akin to this?

That's such a creative and innovative idea that you came up with all by yourself.

I already edited in the proof that you came up with the idea <3

I don't mind the negativity, but I find it annoying that the pessimists repeat the same lines over and over again.

"This is literally the worst thing they could have ever done."
"This is my breaking point, I just have to say something."
"They never would have done this [insert period of time] ago."
"[Insert corny useless joke referring to Scott Gasparich]."

and many more

The things is everyone has expressed their views so much that everyone just keeps trying to get their word in and they don't want anyone to forget it. Like seriously, I think everyone has posted their opinion in this thread like 10 times already. It's a never ending circle because someone always wants to have the last word.

As I said before, I am very much neutral in this addition; however, I still think that this can at least turn out alright with the proper theming, effects, etc. I really don't care if we get this coaster over a custom one. It doesn't affect me.

Also, that was not exactly what I was thinking of as far as a loading station, but I guess it could work?

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

Party Rocker, you're just asking for an argument with that post. Don't feed the flames and don't be rude, it's very unattractive. There was nothing in b.mac's post that was rude. He really quoted actual things people have said. You're making comments that are offensive and are quoting elusive sayings to seem as if they are true, just to make the other side look bad. Plus I really wouldn't like to be called a "pessimist" ever again, because it's rude, not true, and a broad judgement. How about we end this here before the thread gets even further off topic.

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

not to defend PR....which I don't do. B.mac needs to change his terminology if he doesn't want a reaction from PR. To call a yet to built ride a "disaster" and a "horrible addition" is off-putting.

Understood, I'll rework that wording next time to be a little less blunt.
