So the staff can do whatever it wants to with this post, but...

We are a terrible community, we really do always bitch about the park, and we deserve every bit of criticism we get as a community. While I'll fully admit I'm part of the problem, this place is full of drama, terrible users making terrible posts, infighting, huge egos, online stalking, ect ect ect. It's bound to happen given the fact that this is a local board and we probably go to BGW more than most people, so we're able to see the issues with the park better, but we do have problems. Do you know what's not going to solve them? Alienating new users who might attempt to become part of this community. That's a shitty move no matter how you attempt to justify it.

I'm usually not one to stray off topic, but Robb at TPR is a dick, everyone there worships the ground he walks on. Another forum I was a member of had plenty of ex-TPR members who were banned for calling him out for being a little unorthodox with how he conducts his "business."

So in retrospect I think we have it alright over here, at least we can speak our minds. Plus I believe our "hate" is rather constructive criticism. We hold the park to such high standards, it's tough to meet them sometimes. That's what happens when you have a whole forum dedicated to one park.

I wouldn't go so far to say the 'hate' here is constructive criticism. Some of it really is just pure hate and isn't productive at all. Also, if you set your standards too high, they will never be met. I think that is an issue with many people is that they have extremely unreasonable standards that the park can't simply meet. Therefore, that leads to more hate/criticism and the cycle continues. However, I don't think we should settle for the worst standards either. Maybe a nice in between.

Ugh, here we go again. Can you please not start the argument that we have had thousands of times in the past over what you consider hate and what others consider constructive criticism. It seems we can never learn from and avoid arguments from the past either.

You'd be surprised at the amount of hate about BGWFans on TPR their is. They make it seem like were all evil monsters and our site is only meant for complaining about the park.  I will admit it probably wasn't the best idea to pull a quote that was used on TPR, it's not like they haven't done something like that to us before. cough(BGWD$c*s)cough If Tempesto was deconstructed just to make us seem like were all going crazy, I applaud the park for whoever said "Lets build a new coaster, and then just take it down."

Backing Connor about TPR doing questionable stuff. A user was banned from that forum a few years ago for the watermarking issue Zach Clarke brought up. Alvey also likes to replace their images with funny file names, some not quite safe to share.

Back to Tempesto! I passed the park last weekend and I have to say, Tempesto fits perfectly into the skyline. I was worried it would look cramped and would stand out since it was a modified clone but it looked like an original design and that it had always been next to Apollo. In the past 15 years BGW really has created a stunning skyline. Also, isn't Tempesto supposed to have a light package similar to what England received?

The plans had wires strung across the plaza area that I'm assuming were supposed to be lights. I think lighting displays promised for Tempesto will be more permanent. Whereas, Banbury Cross this year was just a bunch of theatrical lights shining all over the damned place.

In all honesty that post was more poking fun than straight up hating on this site. Sorry if it seemed that way,,,

I'd agree that the ride looks much more respectable now that the structure is completed, and I assume it will look more so when the plaza area is also finished. At the very least it looks much nicer than Superman, although maybe Six Flags isn't an appropriate standard of comparison.

I would have to agree to an extant. Yes SEAS will have this dolled up better than any mediocre Six Flags theming, but based off the plans we've seen its not too far off...

If this isn't a flat ride I will personally spend an entire day marathoning Europe in the Air with selfie picture updates after each ride. I'm not even joking. Bookmark this post.

I'm essentially 100% sure it's a flat ride.
Looking forward to this!! I'll be there too with Zachary taking pics!
*I'll see if I can get Carl and Larry there for a photo op*

I wonder, with all our attention being dragged up, could this be a clever distraction to a refurb/retheming of Festa? Just a spitball here, but, maybe its a surprise development? Is that even possible?

Its not really all that surprising, honestly. With the amount infighting we have, and the huge split in the community, its not shocking.

Don't start with this again, Applesauce.
You and your "clique" can stay quiet please.

What!? Robb is actually nice. He has more respect for me than you all combined!

Do you know why BGWFans is full of "evil little monsters?" Respect is earned, not given.

Three things Johnathan...

First off, you're not a moderator. Stop moderating.

Secondly, now that I'm aware you're a fan of TPR and that you don't believe this site has earned any credibility or respect, I wonder why you don't just migrate there permanently. I imagine Robb would find you to be an asset to his community.

Third, this is the Tempesto thread and I'd very much appreciate it if you didn't try to start off-topic mudslinging matches here- especially right after the thread was just put back on topic.

Even if they could hide a retheme, I doubt they have the money. They are making huge cuts right now. Hardly the time to decide to redo a hamlet, regardless of how much it may need the work.

That said, I wonder how much the theming for the the ride itself will spill out into the surrounding area? The daredevil/bike thingy doesn't really mesh well with the current Roman gods/Marco Polo/etc.
