Wait, the media event was cancelled? Wild.

I don't understand how literally everything marketing has touched with this coaster has been blundered so severely. Announcement, post-announcement engagement, media tour, opening announcement, member ride times, and now media day? It's almost unbelievable.

I hope someone at corporate is taking a long, hard look at how they got here—cancelling a media event for a new for 2024 coaster that still hasn't opened as of mid-July. 🤦‍♂️

Amateur hour yet again by Parks corporates.

It got rescheduled to the 16th, however it's still wild. I'm curious if they'll stick to the preview dates for passholders or not- I'd bet not.

Everything marketing lately has struck me as someone in HQ is looking at a calendar and going “that’s what we planned on” as opposed to someone in the park.

I will say though, in a slight defense, typically this is something you want to schedule in advance enough to credential the right people and be organized. If this hiccup happened after that point then that’s more on someone else.

Just curious... should this be concerning for BGW's ride build? Or is this more regionalized to the park/contracted builder?

The issues with this project involved a litany of things, none of which necessarily will carry over to BGW; however, a big factor in the opening date will be when the ride hardware is delivered. While that didn't exactly hold things up forever in this case, it still arrived fairly late in the year. There's still plenty of time before a May opening for BGW is unlikely though.

Just let them get everything finished and tested before it is ready for previews... give them till the end of the month.

Third new set of preview dates and third new grand opening date announced within the last 6 days. Oh, and the other two Instagram posts advertising those other previous dates are still up. This is pathetic. What an absolute joke by Busch Gardens Tampa. I understand new rides will sometimes have delays and kinks to be worked out, but this might be the biggest marketing nightmare for an attraction I’ve ever seen. I’ve never been the type of person to call for jobs to be lost, but I honestly think it’s to that point. What an absolute embarrassment for everyone involved.
