If it’s a Jungala addition I doubt that
I mean if you’re talking a bigger, badder InvadR, InvadR is fairly aggressive as it is, something on the scale of texas stingray wouldn’t be that much crazier

I'd be shocked if they built a woodie after having Gwazi for years.

Do they need another family coaster? They have scorpion and cheetah chase (or whatever it's called now).

Cheetah hunt and scorpion both have inversions, and while I’d classify them as borderline thrill/extreme coasters, that isn’t truly family. Cobras curse is the closest to a thrilling family coaster they have besides sand serpent. And then air Grover I think it’s called but, they’re lacking in that category

They’ve also got Cobra’s Curse and Sand Serpent as other family coasters. When you look at BGT’s coaster lineup, I would say they could use another family coaster, though targeted to the younger demographic (think big bear mountain but at BGT), as Air Grover’s height requirement is 38” but the next height requirement for a bigger ride is 42”, and that is Scorpion and Cobra’a curse, which could be a little extreme for the young thrill seekers.

I think BGT intends to go bigger than a woodie.

I can't speak to post-COVID, but I know pre-COVID SEAS had BIG plans in the works for BGT after Gwazi. Iron Gwazi was a temporary stop on the road to something bigger.

We've seen COVID completely upend BGW's plans though—the same may have happened at BGT. Hard to read right now.

Personally I think a snowmobile-themed coaster would be a perfect addition. As we all know, Africa is one of the snowiest places in the world!

Hey, with some paint, they can make those jet ski shells look like ATVs, right....? 😋

A good amount and can’t really say much (I’ve bought it up to 1 or 2 people). Some of you are right about what WAS being considered but no longer is on the table. It was indeed a CGI family coaster replacing Jungala. Between Texas Stingray and Invadr. Now I understand they plan to redevelop the land left from rhino rally for something from Intamin, and joking it would be themed to ATV’s may actually be more accurate than you think. BGT is well aware that area is a dead zone of things to do, and the swing is part of a multi-attraction expansion, similar to project paradise for AI. The only thing that’s really a concern is noise, and they conducted several tests recently for the swing, as it’s extremely loud, and obviously, it had no effects and was signed off. We will see about whatever this phase 2 is.

You know what? I don't hate that. I just wish it was a big thrill and not a low to ground family coaster (cheetah hunt is right there and covers both groups well but specializes in none)

It’s apparently meant to act as a replacement for whenever sand serpent goes. Family coaster for a family coaster

That's interesting the noise tests came back with nothing... I wonder what would be considered problematic if not a ride with the word "scream" in the name lol.

ATVs riding through the Serengeti sounds like it'd actually be a cool concept if there was actually some effort to theme it. The biggest drawback I see is how obtrusive it'll be to the scenic/natural areas of the park, which are really the main thing still giving this park some charm, though sadly I don't think the park management really cares much about that sort of thing anymore.

The real question is, what could replace Sand Serpent? Removing that and Phoenix clears up enough space to hypothetically add a much-needed dark ride, and that's without even touching the HOS house or the kiddie rides.

Please dear god tell me Kumba is saved from death.

I mean they did just completely rebuild 3 out of the 4 trains at one time and took the hit of 1 trains ops, cleaned up the station and refreshed the sign….. sooooo yeah, it’s safe and smoother than ever!
Smoother than ever is a bit of a stretch, but I'd still give it another ~3 years at least

The Kumba rumor was dumb lol. B&Ms don’t have a hard shelf life when you can easily replace parts. Dragons was taken out because JK Rowling wanted something more themed to the property.
