So I'm in a fairy unique-for-me position of having not bought a KD pass for 2026 (moved my grandfathered SFA membership to SFGAdv and get access to KD that way from here on out—it's a whole thing). Anyway, it means I've been getting the "please come back"-type communications from KD this off-season.

Pretty damn ballsy of them to still be advertising "Includes Free Parking & Haunt" with zero asterisk and/or fine print about Haunt attractions not being included. Feels INCREDIBLY slimy.

I might have you beat here: I am an active KD Gold Pass+APP holder, and have been for the past two years. Today, I received this exact flyer in the mail. LOL.

Like, if you have my name and address, shouldn't you know that I already have a pass...?

I can one up that I am an active Prestige level pass holder with KD as my home and have been since the roll out of Prestige and I got the same filer in the mail Monday.

That’s hilarious because direct mails are one of the most expensive pieces of marketing out there. I work in marketing, and direct mail is possibly the most heavily scrutinized marketing activation in our arsenal because of how high the cost per piece is. We set a very tight audience strategy and pour over the data to make sure we never send a mailer to someone who doesn’t need one.

The fact that they’re sending out these expensive pieces willy-nilly not only shows how sloppy (or understaffed, or both) SF’s marketing department is, but it’s also a terrible indictment of how they’re wasting their probably limited marketing budget on incompetence.

To be fair I have had the same thing happen all 14 years that I have had a pass not just this year so it's not something new from SF. Come to think of it I never got anything in the mail over the years from SFA when I had a pass.

Park was supposed to close at 7 but now apparently it closed at 6? but now I'm hearing that it's actually open till 7 again?
It wouldn't surprise me if they closed at 6:00. It was a cold day, and the park was dead when I was there earlier. Walk on to everything except for Rapterra where I had a 20 minute wait, twisted timbers where it was 54 minutes locker to locker (the outer ones, not the free ones in the queue) due to them only running one train, and Pantherian, where I waited for the front (also running one train but I could have walked on to pretty much any other row). I even got a completely Zen ride on racer 75, where I was the only person on either train. And yes, they ran the other side empty just to race.. and somehow I still lost.

KD closed at 7 today (Sunday). I’m curious if the communication errors are due to how the hours get refreshed in the six flags app.

Also got that email about 2 hours ago despite my pass being from KD. Granted, I live closer to Carowinds and only have a KD pass because I bought it during the MVP sale and then booked a flight to Richmond, but still.

They don’t even send me emails and my pass was last active in 2024 🤷‍♂️

Um, it’s also United Parks. I got an email about my PhotoKey from SeaWorld San Antonio (never been) only for BGW to send a folllowup a few days later that changes are coming to PhotoKey.

Also, the fact that many of the park's less popular coasters have been running two trains all season -- while TT and Pantherian are two of their biggest headliners -- suggests that there was some abnormal maintenance issue afflicting them, and not just an inability for the park to get their act together on time for opening day.

Well at least it's not Zero trains like uh.... The alien one
She's got 2 trains on.
