I also learned something pretty cool today. Did you know that they have Barq's Root Beer in some fountain dispensers? I had no idea! I have been a good boy drinking water and whatnot, but I was jonesin' for some root beer today and happened to see it in Roman Freeze or whatever in Festa. The guy told me that ALL of the ice cream shops have it via fountain dispenser for your refillable bottles. Wow! Makes perfect sense. Ice cream & root beer = awesome floats.

Barq's Root Beer is available for your refill cups in ice cream shops only; but not all ice cream shops. That is to say it is available in the ones that have the soft serve dispensers, not hand dipped. I suppose that is what they use for their root beer floats. So basically, Roman Frieze in Festa & the London Dairy in England are where you can fill your souvenir cups with Barq's. La Grande Glace in France does NOT have Barq's on tap. Plan your day wisely if you love root beer. Was such a letdown that one time I jumped off the train at Caribou Station to try and get some. But now you know, and knowing is half the battle!!

Let me just say that I think the pork shanks & turkey legs are so much better coming right off of the Smokehouse Grill!!

Also something to add, Teriyaki sauce can be put on it instead of Barbecue sauce; however, after sampling it, I don't recommend it. They will also definitely be more than happy to put extra sauce on your pork shank and make it even more soaked. Really really good!

Not sure where to post this, but I have to say that the pumpkin cheesecake at the park is the best dessert ever! And I don't usually say that about something that isn't chocolate. Delicious!

Those columns ruin the whole thing. They probably would have been better off using styrofoam chunks like the Ice Palace and turning into a glacier completely.

Yea it would all be perfect if the columns weren't there, but it really does go with the theme of the area at least so it's still a good addition.

Don't think that this has been mentioned yet...

They're back!!

...with a vengeance! Everywhere you look...Pork Shanks (and Turkey Legs); including the bacon-wrapped versions by the Talking Tree of Killarney. I still prefer a shank from the Smokehouse Show Grill, though. Sooooooo gooooooood.

BTW, another favorite is back at Grogan's; Turkey Panini soup & sandwich combo. Excellent!!

Another thing, if you want Barq's Root Beer or a Coke-flavored ICEE your choices are limited to one shop each due to the CT changes.

It just hit me!! I have yet to see SQUIRE's GRILLE open during CT. Has anyone else seen it open or know why it isn't? The CT site says it is supposed to have Brunswick stew & whatnot; we did notice that the sign is missing. Too early? Not enough customers? What gives?!? :huh:

Also, was Coffee & Crepes open? I can't remember?

Squire's Grille has been open this year for Christmas Town, although the menu signage has not been hung up. I know it was closed very early last Sunday since there was not enough guests in the park to keep it open.

Coffee & Crepes is still open as well.

I saw both Crepes and Coffee as well as Squire's Grill open on Friday. I poked my head into Squire's Grill and it looked to me that they had the same exact menu as they do during the normal season. Maybe I missed something?
