Makes sense to me.

Interesting that the map has it labeled by the generic name Wave Swinger.

Didn't they have a sign mentioning this bridge near the carousel for the park's 40th anniversary?

This was common on maps from this time—the key would use the authentic name and the map itself would use a generic, easily-identifiable name.

Yep!

why did they get rid of it?
Like @Jonesta6 said it messed with the flow and allowed people to bypass all the games and restaurants in Oktoberfest. It made that part of the park a ghost town. By removing it they ensured that guests would flow by the Festhaus and games.
Isnt the bridge still in the boneyard?
If I remember correctly some of it was moved to other places in Oktoberfest like the bridge by DK.

Yep!
By your command. Here's the sign and a zoomed in crop of the text plaque that mentions the bridge right at the very end.

Pretty sure there was another sign at one point that actually pointed out that you can still see footers if you look hard enough.

TBH it's kinda nuts that a park would bring attention to such details since it's more of a random enthusiast trivia fact than something that'd be general interest.

That's what all those signs were during the 40th anniversary. It was mostly just random trivia that people might find interesting
