RE: O' Taters Irish Restaurant

In my mind the issues with the "O' ______" part of the name are minor compared to the "Taters" bit.
Naming what I have to assume is a fictional, "fun," character in the park's lore by combining a cringy Irish stereotype with a colloquial "country" version of potato—a word that had been used to mock Irish immigrants for over a hundred years—seems like an incredibly poor judgement call. I have to assume the park simply didn't put much thought into the implications of their new, "fun" restaurant name, but I think they may need to reconsider their choice.

100% agree. I don't think this name could have been more poorly chosen if they had tried.

I guess it isn't a "working name" either, waiting on something usable to come out of their myriad of focus group meetings.
Why not Spudsy Malone's? Heck, Malone is even Gaelic, a break from the O'Connor clan. Sure, "The Middle" franchise may not approve, but for a few thousand dollars they may just be swayed to permit it.

Got the loaded potatoe today. Needless to say there’s some work to still be done. Good New is the potatoes are HUGE! But I got 3x the sour cream I did cheese, it was only shredded salad cheader, and I had double the onions as bacon. Hoping it was just a mistake but it was a tad...off.

I had the chicken Alfredo one. The vest thing I can say was that it wasn't to bad. They were down near the end of the sauce when I got mine so it was lightly top I will be currious to try it again in the future and see how it is with more topping and hopefully fresher sauce and see if it improves any.

Picture of the new name sign and the sign on the building that shows all of the loaded potato's.

I had the Chicken Alfredo and it was OK.  I would have liked it to be on a regular plate instead of in the oval bowl.  It would have made it easier to cut and deal with.  Also I thought the alfredo sauce was a little too thick but it had a decent taste. The potato was fully cooked even for its big size.

The new bread bowl was awesome! In this case, I am exclusively talking about the bread. This is the most flavor it has ever had. It had a great balance of sweetness. The outside crust was crisper than before, vaguely resembling the outside crust of a pretzel. They served the bread bowl in a paper bowl, but the stew didn't leak through.

The stew, on the other hand, left a bit to be desired. On one side, the beef was way too chewy, but on the other side of the bowl, it was perfect. There wasn't very much broth and the flavoring was too bland for my taste, but a little bit of pepper from the condiments bar would have made it much better. I guess they want guests to flavor it, which might not be a bad thing if people knew that pepper is the only thing missing.

Overall, I would recommend this dish mainly for the bread bowl. Just be ready to season the stew yourself.

I enjoyed the chili pot potato on Saturday, but I noticed it is supposed to come with shredded cheddar and they made it with the cheese sauce, I also asked for more sour cream because one little dollop is not enough for that giant potato. I agree they need to fill them with a little more toppings, but overall it was very good and I look forward to trying more!

Maybe they ran out of shredded cheese? When we were there, all of the potatoes had shredded cheddar, not sauce.
