Injuries on SFMM suspended arrow coaster Ninja. Hate to see something like this, please update if anyone else finds more information on this.  http://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/california/4-Hurt-Riders-Stranded-Ninja-Six-Flags-Magic-Mountain-Ride-266136901.html

Edit. After watching the video, the whole wheel assembly appears to have disconnected from the track! Holy cow!  Would this have been in BBW's future had they let it go?

RE: Ninja (suspended arrow)

Tree branch fell in the track derailing the first car. Riders seem ok and stable condition. Watching the live feed right now. They're currently attending to anyone with injuries. I'm sure evacuating is next.

The train has been chained down so that it does not move. As far as the derailed vehicle. Riders are still in and well dangling.

Wait... they may have already evacuated everyone in the back of the train. It's a slow process. This camera is only zoomed in on the front.

RE: Ninja (suspended arrow) derails

At this time there is only 4 people left in the train. And those are the ones sitting in the dangling car.

RE: Ninja (suspended arrow) derails

After the tree fell on LNM tracks in the 80's BGW spent months removing over one hundred trees from the BBW ride envelope. Any tree that had any damage to its trunk, branches, or root system was removed. Quite a bit of early morning tree work was done to ensure that the ride opened on time. Very proactive safety measure.

RE: Ninja (suspended arrow) derails

Just to be clear, y'all are saying that a lot of trees near a roller coaster can be a bad thing?

RE: Ninja (suspended arrow) derails

Just trees that have the potential to fall.

RE: Ninja (suspended arrow) derails

Am I the only one that finds it weird that a tree just randomly fell during the middle of the day? Pictures dont really show any sort of inclement weather, and it's very rare that a tree just decides to give, and if that picture above is any indication, i'd say it was a healthy tree.

Reading through TPR (ew, I know)... some say that a small earthquake went through Southern California that morning.

EDIT: Looking at that picture in the FB post embed above shows that more of the train is damaged. Notice how the wheel assembly is crooked in that car.

Don't bring all that logic into this. I want to believe a terrorist group is going to be going around chopping trees down by coasters, causing mass hysteria in the news.
