Time to dust off this subforum... to the surprise of very few, it appears Niagara will not be operating for 2026. Apparently they published a statement... and quickly UN-published it for some reason? Weird, but just seems like confirmation of what many already knew.

I have finally received the dreaded email. The Fourth of July fireworks are still planned to still happen.
Dear Guests,

Today, we are sharing difficult news.

Niagara Amusement Park & Splash World will not open for the 2026 summer season.

This was not the outcome we hoped for. Over the past several years, we invested significant effort to revive and improve the park while exploring every possible path to open this year. Ultimately, operating and financial realities made that unsustainable.

We know this is disappointing, and we truly appreciate the support we’ve received from our guests, employees, and the Grand Island community.

For those who purchased a 2026 season pass, full refunds will be processed over the next 30 days. No action is required at this time, and we will reach out directly if anything further is needed.

We also plan to continue the July 4th fireworks tradition from the park property, with more details to come.

For our full statement, additional information, and ways to contact our team, please visit: niagaraamusementpark.com

Thank you for your support, your patience, and for the memories created over the years.

Sincerely,
IB Parks & Entertainment

Unfortunately not a surprising outcome. Even prior to the recent concerns, I wondered what the feasibility of keeping this park around truly was.

I know it hasn’t even been 12 hours, but that SDC Galaxi needs to go to Clementon ASAP. They haven’t had an operating thrill coaster since the 2022 season, and there’s still a Jack Rabbit shaped void in the front of the park. It’s not much, but it sure beats what they’ve got right now, especially being that no work appears to have been done on Hellcat yet.
