^ Well, I don't hate the logo It is Okay, but I think it represents to much "Gardens" and not enough Europe or Africa If you know what I mean. However, I do think it needs to represent gardens, but is that the main theme of BGW? No, the main theme is Europe, how we can go to another continent but stay in the same Country we live in. So I think the logo needs an international theme, with the "gardens" mixed in. Busch Gardens Williamsburg is another continent but still in North America, with Gardens mixed in. That is all the discussion I need to say on this Topic. Finally, my conclusion is... The logo is good, but they themed it wrong, and need to add a little International theme. Period! end of sentence!

I love the landscaping at BGW! Landscaping = Gardens in my book. So green is IN if you know what I mean.

Now bring us a... SHRUBBERY!!

^^ The parks have always been gardens at heart. Tampa and the original CA parks started out as expansions to the local brewery with gardens and animal exhibits. Even then the colors in the logo can be modified with flags/animal prints if the advertising calls for it. The previous logo rarely ever used flags/animal prints anyway outside of being seen on the park maps and brochures.

I don't know if you were quoting my signature, you probably weren't. However that is a very true Statement.

Ha! I didn't even notice that! It was meant to be then. ;)

"Oh, what sad times are these when passing ruffians can say Ni at will to old ladies. There is a pestilence upon this land, nothing is sacred. Even those who arrange and design shrubberies are under considerable economic stress in this period in history. "

To the point of gardens being a focus; How many years in a row has Busch Gardens Williamsburg been voted "Most Beautiful Park" now?

Actually I believe the main reason for the new logo is mostly to get rid of the AB red. That color was one of the very few last remaining references to the previous owner; AB.
I feel like that was the reason for changing it, as for what it was changed into, I think the new logo is fine. it has grown on me some since I first saw it. I do think over time it will just fade into park history and become another logo.

"We are no longer the knights who say ni!"

I still proudly wear the AB logo even though their influence is long gone with managing all the parks. It may be Blackstone now, and maybe Sea World Parks & Ent. when they start circulating stock, but it'll always be Anheuser Busch to me.

Don't really know if this is "logo-specific" but on the new brochures, WCUSA is no longer BGW's "sister park." Now it is considered BGW's water park. No idea if this is new, but I love this small touch. Really starting to bring together a resort-type feel.

It has always been more or less their water park. Theme parks tend to have ownership over a water park. For example BGW has WCUSA; BGT has Adventure Island; Sea World has Aquatica, etc. I mean the main difference could just simply be they are changing their wording to better fit that. All parks in the chain are still sister parks to each other, always, so really WCUSA is both.

They've branded WaterCountry USA at Busch Garden's Waterpark for several years. I believe that they changed to this verbiage when the first Aquatica opened in Orlando.

Can't find images of WCUSA with it, but I have seen it for years now.

Check out the new BGW and WCUSA logo together. I will post the new WCUSA logo separately in the WCUSA logo thread, since it is of better quality and size.

The new logo is really growing on me. A friend of mine bought me a "new logo" jacket from the park and I cannot stop wearing it. It has actually replaced my "Apollo's Chariot" jacket as my favorite. I just wish they sold this jacket and other products with the new logo at the park!

The bright green over Navy Blue is amazing and if you do not know what I mean by that- check this out:

OOOOO! I like the Water Country USA logo. And as much as I don't want to admit it the New BGW logo has grown on me a bit. It's nice, and flows very nicely with style. But some of my recent arguments still stand, I still wish it had a little more international theme, but what are you gonna do about it?

I think BG and Water Country using the blue and green coloring is a nod to their nature-friendly stance, which I actually like a lot. Very natural flow and the red-orange colors aren't too bad. I am getting used to the logo, but the park entrance sign (that you drive under) is still way too tacky and generic, in my opinion.

^ I agree. I think the new logo plays up the "gardens" aspect of the project. It's the hip thing to do two years ago to hype your "green-ness" out there, and I think the new logo is meant to evoke that sense of environment.

Now, if only they'd stick with a cohesive thematic approach throughout the park....
