However they can program the machines to ignore those ingredients and not count them. This is what baffles me, especially having stocked a freestyle machine before—unless it’s programmed not to, it will show a white light to indicate missing ingredients. The ones I stocked had about 4 slits that didn’t have anything assigned to them and as such those do not count in the inventory of the machine. A fully stocked machine should not have that light on.

I’d put good odds on BGW not training anyone on how to do that.

While that is possible, SWO culinary is the ones who do the freestyle machines at SWO, so it’s likely the same deal here. Otherwise, they’d have to call someone from Coca-cola to do the work and that’s way more expensive than just training a few culinary team members to do it.
