Also something to keep in mind, when it comes back next year; it will be an entirely different show from the ground up.

CK, the drummer guy got on Facebook and as guests were getting worried about use leaking that no MSR for the year, he went on the Facebook and confirmed the rumor stating he was the bald drummer and that the show had been cut and then he went on to complain about the show being cut and complain about the park in general.

But that is just the basic story.

Awww man I hate when that sort of stuff happens. The marine guy and his crew were our favorites up there. Our family has loved Monster Stomp and Monster Stomp Revamped through all its up and down years. I honestly would love to see it come back.
The opening sequence was always hilarious with the "old timey" feel to it and they all stop to ride the Griffon. haha! :D
Plus the fact that they threw in the Buffy The Vampire Slayer theme song always made me a very happy girl.
When they do bring it back I just hope they keep the dancing skeletons. :p

P.S. - RocketChk what year were those Monster Stomp photos taken? The guy playing the lead vampire looks like the one that was our favorite but was replaced by a heavier set Vampire for a little bit.

Edit: Did anyone ever catch the showing of Monster Stomp Revamped when the lead Vampire's hand got caught in the lead female's wig and it came right off and they were trying so hard to sing but couldn't stop laughing?? :D

That is indeed Josh. This is the second year (2009) since the girl is not Alexis. Mike (Marine) and Chris (funny drummer) were at the Celtic Fyre finale. Good to see them again. Josh was a great vocalist and also our favorite. Look for him in Kinetix videos, or photos, if you want to see him without makeup.

Thanks BGW Family. He really was amazing in that role. I managed to find some videos he posted of himself performing in Monster Stomp. :D

This was during the Pass Holder Preview showing before HOS started. I believe, however the attendance at the preview show was so low the theater hosts literally started grabbing anyone they could find to fill the seats. Telling everyone they saw walking by that they were in for a special treat.

Also to note, during one of the final dress rehearsals for Rejoice, one of the performers hat kept constantly falling off during the last song.

We weren't able to make it for the Pass Holder Preview showing. So they must have lost the wig twice. haha!! :) Or was it all some pre-set conspiracy so people could say they had a special treat.:dodgy:

Oh well, it was funny regardless for us. :p

Who liked Monster Stomp Revamped?

These are from the original show in 2008.
Low resolution, so zoom out some for better quality viewing. Sorry.

Ah, the good old days when the real theater lobby was not reduced down to a snack stand with an over the top fancy entrance.

according to Scott gasparich, the show will return within the next few seasons. he said, and I quote,
"We have a plan to bring back Monster Stomp Revamped for either the 2014,2015,2016 or another season. While it's unclear exactly when. It is a plan."

Basically this means it's coming, we dont know when, but we're gonna bring it back.

Personally I think we could see it back 2014, especially with London Rocks turning the globe to an actual stage show, and with a probable ripper row return, we could see another stylized intro featuring jack the ripper or something. Plus, as it was such a popular show, with even more popularity due to its absence, a larger capacity would be most welcome!

Keep in mind, this was an unofficially official statement made by Scott during an Entertainment "town hall" meeting.

Just saying Monster Stomp Revamped has always been in the works to come back in 2014 in the Globe since the day we found it was getting the boot for Fiends. But nice to see some more confirming information.

The show as we know it, with the drummers, will not happen as long as he is there. Could he be hinting at something else? One could only hope.

You would think that 4 years was enough but no.... I really don't think Monster Stomp is coming back, if it is it is going to be totally different.

Yes. Again using a semi-famous quote:
"...will sparkle this year." :dodgy:

Wow, I never realized there are some many situations that that quote fits into!! :)

Monster Stomp is coming back, just like any other show that comes back to a different theater, of course it will be different. Same name, different show. Kind of like Fiends when it was relocated. Same name, but a different plot line almost that everyone has enjoyed.

I am excited to see it next year. Even if no one else is.

I'm a relative BGW newbie. 2012 was my first visit to the park, and I only started watching the shows regularly in 2013. I enjoy striking up conversations with the people who sit next to me when waiting for shows to start. One thing that is striking is just how highly regarded and how missed the Monster Stomp show is. It's really quite remarkable. I'm looking forward to seeing it come back in the newly remodeled Globe.

One needn't look to other shows for examples - for me, this show set that trend. The only common thread between Monster Stomp at the Canadian Palladium and Monster Stomp: Revamped at Abbeystone was the skeleton dance ("Shake Your Groove Thing") ...that being said, I hope they include this number in the show's next incarnation, just as a nod to the show's history... but I won't hold my breath, as Scott doesn't seem to value tradition the same way I do.

I'm excited to see how they incorporate the lighting and effects for london rocks into MS:R. The show will probably not be anywhere near the same, but the globe is getting a MAJOR lighting and sound overhaul, after all London Rocks uses live music, and is making sure the sound system is , mind me saying, kickass. So brand new lighting pack, high definition stereo sound systems(not sur eif surround sound or not) plus the rerturn of the best show...im no mathematician, but it sounds good..
