Gotcha'
I was thinking an employee in the public was like a performer in the public. Apologies to those disturbed. Creep -O- Meter reset to low.

BTW, the stage is nicely lit at night between shows.

I hadn't actually realized this until tonight: Mix it Up will only be playing Mondays through Thursdays during the Food & Wine Festival. The new Grape Stomping show will be the only show performed in Il Teatro di San Marco on the weekends.

According to the BGW website schedule, Mix it Up isn't playing on Wednesdays. I hope this means we can catch the other band today and next week.

They we playing modern country music one day we were there. Was it before the grape show? Simply horrendous. We left ASAP.

None of them look familiar to me except the guy in orange and perhaps the girl holding Gasparich fine Italian chocolates.

I recognize all but the guy in the blue-checkered pants, and I have seen this show quite a bit. I hope the rumor isn't true.

We heard the rumor, too. Two days off in a row? Hmm, might be fishy...

[Edit]: CK, if you're talking about the drummer that's usually in blue, just happened to run across info that he left on August 9th. Or are you talking about another one?

You know why I like this show? It still has live music (mostly) with REALLY great musicians and performers that are really nice and like appreciation (of those we've met)! Hopin' they give them a vehicle with less goof and more time to showcase their talent. We like these guys a bunch.

Bonus points for adding musicians and dumping the backing tracks.

Speaking of Mix it Up, get your last viewings in. I believe Mix it Up's last day is this Sunday the 8th and it sounds like it's on very shaky ground for 2014. I believe the current plans have it returning, but I've heard there's a good chance that could change fairly soon.

If Mix it Up doesn't return, I'd expect to see the theater sit dark or, at best, house something like the Italian Ensemble all week long. Basically it comes down to the park not knowing whether or not they can afford five large main season Entertainment products (London Rocks!, Celtic Fyre, Entwined, This is Oktoberfest, and Mix it Up). If The answer to that question is no, from what I understand, Mix it Up will be cut first.

Is this back to the whole being outside at the mercy of the weather thing?

I have to say as a dancer that temperature and rain concerns are completely valid. You can end your career performing in really bad conditions.
