I really wish Kings Dominion had stood its ground or totally ignored them. Its not like a single one of the people protesting this is even in Kings Dominions market nor have they probably ever gone to the park, nor did they ever intend on going to the park in the future.

As I stated before, Cedar Fair corporate comes up with Haunt attractions and assigns them to the parks. The parks build to suite the site the Haunt Attraction sets on/in.

Based on that criteria, Cedar Fair giveth and Cedar Fair taketh away.

I highly doubt it that the park will throw away all of the work that they have put into the set pieces in this maze. For Kings Dominion, this maze was pretty elaborate. My guess, is that they will come up with some kind of fictional character, such as vampires or goblins, and pretty much use the same set, except they will work the new story around those characters. In theory, it would sound very much like the story for Cavern of Darkness (an old maze at Busch Gardens). Even if the new maze is bad, it wouldn't be as much of a waste of money for them to reuse the old one. I feel very sorry for Cedar Fair and Kings Dominion for all of the hard work that they put into this maze, only to be ruined by common complainers.

You really thought it was elaborate? I thought it was great, but I was guessing it was half done. The cave part was AMAZING, but you couldn't ignore that the entire first half of the maze was empty. It was just the water-shooting toilets from Killauee, some actors, and that white water canyon building that they dressed up. I was sure that Zombie High just took resources away from it (which was an amazing maze) and they would finish it next year, but I guess we'll never know.

And also, you are so right about all the talent in that maze. Their group of actors was awesome to be around & really dedicated. I have no idea how the build team came up with the concept to make a cave out of camouflage netting and erosion cloth, but it felt like a cave. That's really the biggest blow here - the fact that such an awesome idea won't be returning next year (unless they use it in another maze).
