That BBW mullet hat was EVERYWHERE in the 80s. So many doofs in that painter’s cap with the wolf eyes up front and the goofy mud flap out back.

Very few dudes gave much thought to sun protection at the time, besides slapping on some basic sunscreen for a day on the boat. Wearing that hat was entirely about the style statement it made about the wearer, echoing the then-cool but objectively terrible men’s hair styles of the day.

I ma or may not have purchased one of those hats.... I also may have lost it in the park. IF these things were both true, I do not mourn its loss.

Old Country merch with an actual depiction of a park location? Always a worthwhile buy!

In other news, someone is parting ways with another of those horrid DOWNLOAD THIS Apollo shirts...

Low key funny because the image on the tshirt is very clearly computer generated and not handrawn. (I mean, modeled with a computer, and not painted digitally)

That’s Schmotzer’s stuff, customized for the park. Cool!

I have one of the wood-cut B&M hypers too, but with one additional trailing car and in the original park-agnostic form. I painted it to be very similar to Apollo’s Chariot in a rare fit of free time.

Do I post that here, or in a different thread? Strictly speaking it’s not park merch...

If anyone is interested, these landed as gifts to me for the holidays and I've already put together the Apollo's Chariot model. I have the final product, or a series of photos throughout the build. Very fun and intricate. Some of the pieces are very small and more fragile than others. Lucked out only breaking one piece. Took about 1 hour and 45 minutes to build. Look to tackle Loch Ness tonight.

I haven’t seen them and I’ve been looking.

If you're looking I would recommend to start with Loch Ness. I just finished and Loch Ness took me half the amount of time, has far fewer intricate pieces, and is much easier, in general. Both are equally fun to build, but Apollo took way more time. Highly recommend.
