SeaWorld Orlando recently received a 5-month old rescued baby walrus named Annautaq (pronounced Ah-now-took) from the Alaska SeaLife Center. He was found orphaned between two dead adult walruses on a remote beach in Point Lay, Alaska, north of the arctic circle. An intern at the SeaLife Center named him after her father's Iñupiaq name, which means "axe" in their native language. Officials said he was likely left behind after its herd left the area due to high surf.

Per AZA rules, he will be in quarantine for 30 days and will eventually join the parks' herd of three other walruses named Garfield, Uki and Kaboodle.
