Well, Medusa has valleyed on top of the Cobra roll. No idea when it happened, but a crane is already over there. They are not letting anyone get close enough to get a good photo, although you get a good look on runaway mine train. This is the best photo I could get. The back row is bearly visable through the trees.

Either a very powerful, perfectly timed wind gust, something wrong with a wheel (or wheels) to increase the rolling friction, something wedged in the track that stopped the coasters movement, or some combination of those. My money is on the first one.

I guess we now know the CapEx project for this park for 2026: An emergency escape platform like you see on some (all?) Vekoma Boomerangs.

My theory is they attempted to start the ride before it warmed up enough. The low last night was 32F. (It did get into the sixties today.) There was some wind today, but nothing too strong (unlike yesterday). They probably should have loaded some water dummies for extra weight to ensure the first dispatched train had enough momentum to complete the track. [I don't know if it was the first dispatch, especially because I did not go to that end of the park untill later in the day.]

As a general reminder, if you wark for a park, don't take photos of things you are not supposed to (especially areas closed to guests), I overheard employees talking about an employee being suspended for going into the closed off area and taking photos of the ride.
