Mäch Tower was a Moser's Rides Gravity Tower located in the Oktoberfest section of Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

Originally planned to debut in the spring alongside Beste Brezeln und Bier and numerous other alterations to the Oktoberfest hamlet, Mäch Tower faced months of delays throughout the first half of 2011. Ultimately, the attraction did not open to the public until August 18th, 2011.

Mach Tower was typically converted into an observation tower named Nächt Tower for the park's annual holiday event, Christmas Town.

On December 16, 2022 it was announced by the park that Mäch Tower would close on January 8th, 2023. The ride did not operate in it's typical Nächt Tower mode in 2022, in order to have final sendoffs in the normal drop tower mode.

When it debuted, Mäch Tower featured an onboard audio system which would play music throughout the ride's ascent and a seat vibration effect that would trigger immediately before the drop. A POV featuring the on-ride audio can be found below.

I'm not sure if this is considered slow, I think a large part of the speed is related to being able to safely dismantle it.

They can't just knock it over then pick up the rubble, too many other buildings and trees in the way. Also, considering it was bolted together when it was assembled, I'm guessing it's far easier to unbolt than to try cutting.

Busch is really pushing the year round opertion.....its closed for a month and they are tearing shit apart left and right thrashing to do what they used to do in the 3 months they were closed in the off season. When they reopen so many things will be still in repairs that its really pointless to go. Its really a marketing lie that they are year round.

The area is to busy at the moment to be able to safely pull over and get a picture but as of when I drove by on my lunch break I would estimate that about 25 to 35 percent of the tower structure has been removed. Griffin is once again the tallest thing in the Park.

I am convinced that MT was removed so BG could say that the 2024 coaster is the tallest structure there.

No other reasons related to maintenance, ridership, or costs.

EGOTISTICAL BASTARDS. 🤣

PS - I rode this ride exactly once. It was all I needed.

I think it's safe to assume that when the park reopens on 1/27 that we will likely see a construction fence around the former Mach Tower area, in addition to the pathway leading to Italy Bridge. Very curious on what they will do with the site while plans are still developing for a potential replacement.
