Mäch Tower was a Moser's Rides Gravity Tower located in the Oktoberfest section of Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

Originally planned to debut in the spring alongside Beste Brezeln und Bier and numerous other alterations to the Oktoberfest hamlet, Mäch Tower faced months of delays throughout the first half of 2011. Ultimately, the attraction did not open to the public until August 18th, 2011.

Mach Tower was typically converted into an observation tower named Nächt Tower for the park's annual holiday event, Christmas Town.

On December 16, 2022 it was announced by the park that Mäch Tower would close on January 8th, 2023. The ride did not operate in it's typical Nächt Tower mode in 2022, in order to have final sendoffs in the normal drop tower mode.

When it debuted, Mäch Tower featured an onboard audio system which would play music throughout the ride's ascent and a seat vibration effect that would trigger immediately before the drop. A POV featuring the on-ride audio can be found below.

I’m sad to see it go. Say what you want, but BGW will never be the same without this iconic attraction. I’ll miss seeing that beautiful tower up close. I’ll miss that heart-pounding drop that feels like it lasts forever. I’ll miss the joy and anticipation of sitting back comfortably in its seats, getting ready for adventure. I’ll miss hearing that gorgeous music as I rise up to the top of that incredible peak. I’ll miss the laugh-out-loud surprise of the one-of-a-kind vibration effect. I’ll miss the reliability of always knowing Mäch Tower was in service, always there for me. I’ll miss the friends I made through the many hours spent in the ride’s ever-busy queue.

Just kidding. Tear it down.

I am incredibly angry that Busch Gardens is removing Mach Tower from their park. For over a decade, this thrilling ride has been a top attraction for the park and has provided countless hours of entertainment to visitors young and old. I cannot believe that Busch Gardens is taking away this beloved ride without any explanation or warning.

When I first visited Busch Gardens, I was immediately captivated by Mach Tower. I had heard all about this thrilling ride, and I was eager to experience it for myself. From the moment I stepped into the line, I felt the excitement in the air. As the line moved closer and closer to the ride, my anticipation only grew. I knew that I was about to experience something truly special.

When I finally reached the top of the tower, I was filled with a sense of anticipation and awe. I was ready to experience the sheer thrill that I had heard so much about. As the ride began, I was overwhelmed with excitement. I felt the forces of each turn and drop as the ride shot up and down the track. I screamed with delight as I felt the rush of the wind in my face.

At the end of the ride, I felt a mixture of elation and sadness. I was so happy that I had experienced this thrilling ride, but I was also sad to know that it wouldn’t last forever. Now, as I learn that Busch Gardens is removing Mach Tower, my sadness and disappointment have grown even stronger.

The removal of Mach Tower is a huge loss to Busch Gardens and its visitors. This beloved ride has been a part of the park for over a decade, and its departure will be felt by many. Not only is it a thrilling ride, but it’s also a beloved memory and source of joy for many visitors. Removing this ride without any explanation or warning is incredibly unfair.

I feel that Busch Gardens should have given its visitors the chance to say goodbye to Mach Tower. This beloved ride should have been given the proper respect it deserves. With its removal, a part of Busch Gardens’ history and charm will be gone forever. I hope that in the future, Busch Gardens will be more considerate of its visitors and their feelings.

Went on my last ride this week. It was bittersweet for sure.I recognize it's leaving to make room for newer and better, and it was never the best to begin with—but it has been there since I started going to BGW. The skyline will look odd without it.
I will definitely miss seeing it from afar. If only they would auction off some of the pieces or even the sign

They could do the SEA version of what CO did with Wicked Twister and sell pieces of it for $250.
