I said it's rare, meaning there are some, but it's hard to find.

Artist Who do not use any "Bad" nor give references to drug's, sex, and alcohol: Calvin Harris, Zedd, Paramore, Matthew Koma, Miriam Bryant, Ayah Marar... Im not going to say anymore because this is getting a little off-topic

David, are you going to tell me that One Direction is not England's version of the greatest lyricist of this generation, Kanye West?

It worries me when Scott Gasparich talks about this show as "seeing into the dreams of "Lucy". I am guessing that he is referring to the girl in the song Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. I like the song and all, but if you listen to it, it is very likely that they were actually talking about LSD (Lucy, Sky, Diamonds). That entire part in the song about "A girl with kaleidoscope eyes" is the main basis for why people think this was the meaning of the song. I hope that not too many people associate it with that, because this could be really bad for their family park image.

Harking back to this point for a moment -- this is interesting to me because I thought the song WAS about LSD, no question. So I certainly agree with your point, CastleO. Researching it now I see that Lennon said it wasn't about LSD, McCartney said it was -- anyway, I do think it is a common interpretation of the song.

Reminds me of my niece's graduation, when her principal in his address quoted "I Get Knocked Down" by Chumbawamba as inspirational, apparently never having really listened to the lyrics and catching the parts about drinking lots of alcohol and pissing the night away. My niece and her friends certainly snickered that he seemed to be missing the real context and punch of the song. Similar "Did I really just hear that?" moments may happen when people hear Scott talking about seeing into the dreams of Lucy -- is he really inviting us on an LSD [ahem] ride? Sure sounds like it.

I think the stage looks nice, but I'm still up in the air about the customs. I don't know, I guess I will have to wait and see how they look/fit in the show. I'm really interested to see/hear the technological improvements they've made to the theater system. It may have been addressed before (but didn't look too hard to find the answer), but will they be preforming to live music (a band) or will they be performing to a soundtrack?

Maybe they should have Austin Powers greeting guests as they enter the theater.

I'm pretty sure it will at least be 'somewhat' live music. They placed ads for lead guitar, drummer, vocalists, etc....

The costumes look interesting. Remember that interesting does not always mean good. If they pull it off in a way that cohesively works with the overall tone of the show, it could still be good. It somewhat reminds me of Katonga from BGT. On paper, the costumes for some of the "animals/puppets" looked right down silly. There was no realism to the design, however it was one of the best elements of the show. If they really have as much of a creative team as they are saying, they are likely to have enough "level-headed" people to over-rule the bad ideas, which can be ironed out later.

Notice at 36 seconds there is yellow tape on one of the steps written in sharpie it looks like saying, "Do Not Step, You Will Die"

Regarding the comments about Lucy in The Sky with Diamonds referencing drugs... John Lennon stated that it was based on a drawing his son did in nursery school. Lennon was like that- picking up random things and making them into music (Like one of my favorite Beatles Tunes- for the Benefit of Mr. Kite) which was the words of a 19th century circus poster.

As for Lucy though, Paul McCartney said otherwise- so the debate will always be there. Just Like the Song "Puff the magic Dragon" in 1963; innocent song that fell victim to urban legend. I find it ironic that today bands don't allude to drugs- they just come right out and say what they mean.

I would think finding music from the mid 60s to today with squeaky clean content (Beatles or no) would be difficult. I would say that those old hidden drug meanings in the Beatles songs will fly right over kids heads until some adult points it out to them.

As for the released images of the stage and costumes... I am intrigued but skeptical. I saw Cirque du Soleil's show "Beatles Love" at the Mirage in Vegas. I imagine, looking at these images released from London Rocks, that the park is trying to go for something similar. However, for me... cirque du soleil??? That is a very hard act to follow me thinks.

Octopus' Garden https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SF4-_H-PL38 My guess the drummer costume is to be for this purpose and would make sense as it was one of the few songs written and sung by Ringo Starr (the drummer of the Beatles)

redheadtanman posted the unedited B-roll version of that video, but it took forever to watch.

Thanks for posting that video. It really is interesting to see how they used the b-roll to create this final video.

Yea, after seeing the set and costumes and just hearing a little more about it, it certainly sounds interesting. I feel better about it now, than I did when the concept first came out.

Yup, it's glittery. I can see it now, it's going to be awful.

Where do you see glitter? I see flowers and shiny jewel like objects... Perhaps you're tainted.

Well, it at least looked like some kind of glitter. I almost always watch videos in small player and in default quality, so I could be wrong.
EDIT: Wow I should probably get my eyes checked.
