Well Debbie Downer(Slight insult to say: why always be so negative)

This is a clear violation, and admittance thereof, of forum rules. I suggest you back off.

I thought your first post was a joke, now you've edited it and elaborated....are you really being serious right now? For Debbie Downer?!

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

You knowingly labelled it as an insult. Insults are violations of forum rules.

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

Don't worry Joe, I would need to be the one to report it to get it off the forums. He's just lucky I didn't, because I don't really care what he thinks about me.

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

Alrighty then. In that case, here's a list of reasons why this argument should continue:

I'm 19 too and I know exactly what the differences between Under Pressure and that song that Vanilla Ice made. It really bothers me that people my age don't know small differences like this. Under Pressure is a song that was written and preformed by both David Bowie and Queen. Ice Ice Baby is a song using the same beat and rapped by Vanilla Ice. Honestly people are going to say that Sweet Home Alabama by Lynard Skynard and All Summer Long by Kid Rock are the same songs.

The hilarious thing is Kid Rock used the bassline from 'Werewolves of London.'

I will say BGW has introduced me to a whole bunch of new "old" music groups such as Duran Duran and Bon Jovi, as featured in Fiends. :)

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

Just curious when did someone actually say "the show" would be good? In fact, I've been keeping up by reading this thread and all I have actually seen people say is they are guessing what music will be used and what music they enjoy. Why must the happiness die?

With that in mind, why can't there be optimism for the show? There is no solid evidence thrown in our faces besides a logo that declares the show as bad or good. Until the show comes out I think it is fairly alright if people decide to be more optimistic or pessimistic as they see fit. Some people expect the worst so that is comes out better than their expectations, some people expect nothing less than perfect to end up disappointed. It all depends on what you are expecting. I'm expecting a decent show that will capture my attention for 30 minutes while I visit the park, nothing more, nothing less.

Because this show is coming from the man who brought us these treasures:

Face it, 99.99% of Scott's own productions are gaudy and stick out like a sore thumb. Plus, the production is already laughably over budget and it will still cause damage to one of the park's most beloved hamlets. If you like gaudy, unfitting shows, then I suppose you should be dancing in the streets.

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

^THIS, Nic! The preview was an important piece of evidence in, well- previewing the show. I don't know what you all saw, but I saw a gaudy mix of pointless technology tricks, random and unfitting props, and LOTS of (literal) glitter.

"But Joe, that was a preview! You can't judge the show based on that!"

I can and I can't. I cannot judge the final show (ie, choreography, overall production), but the entire point of the preview is to show us what the show will be like. And if the sample was less than amazing, won't the show follow suit?

Not always. Still that is no reason to kill whatever optimism that others have.

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

Usually a preview is something that's supposed to captivate the crowd, so they want to come back for the real thing. So they usually take out the best parts of the real thing, if those were the best parts of the show, then I can't even imagine what the other parts will be like..

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

Oh, by all means continue to be optimistic PR. I'm just not going to get my hopes up for something that all signs point to being....

You know what? It doesn't matter. Let's all just have fun, no matter what!:heart::heart:

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

I know what a preview is, but here is the thing. They are the ones that think those were the best parts. Look at movie trailers, some of them suck terribly but the movie is still pretty decent. So in reality, they could just have bad taste in which they think are the best parts. With that said, all the other parts my be perfect.

I actually liked the beginning part with the rain and Under Pressure.

That's yet another apples to oranges comparison. What we're trying to say, is that, if that were any sign of what the show was going to be like, then it's going to be pretty bad.

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

Well then I'll share why I have little to no optimism for this show:

1) The preview was absolutely terrible. And I was there to experience the disaster. First, there were about 5 whole minutes of technical difficulties before it was able to start. When it finally started, you saw a couple of over-sized marsh-mallows with very poor projections, and animations. The thing that made it worse was that the animations were stupid, and had little to no connections to the song that was being played. Then there was the finale of it, the gaudiest and tackiest finale I've ever seen. A loud POP, then millions of paper, psychedelic type flowers came floating down from above. By the time it was over, I literally had to dig out of them to find my stuff, and throughout the day I was finding pesky little flowers, in my bag, in my clothes, and in places I'd never thought they get(o_O). Not only was it stupid, idiotic, and tacky, but it was very, very unpleasant for me.

2) This production is going to be brought to you fully by Scott Gasparich, the person who brought you the tackiest, and most idiotic summer-time event in Busch Gardens History. It came fully with tacky decorations, and mis-fitting, idiotic shows. So far he has only been able to pull off one, that's right one main season show, that was half-decent.

3) Many, many people on this forums have heard things from their sources, telling them this is going to be an utterly horrible show. And these are people who have very reliable sources, and in the past, most of these people have been correct with their predictions based off of what their sources have told them.

That's why I have little, to no optimism for this show. I don't intend this to change any people's minds, but I just thought that I should tell the rest of you why I don't have any faith in this show, instead of not explaining myself, like a lot of you are.

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

I kind of want to have a bet as to whether or not the show will be good. :p
